This is a beautiful historic seaside town, with so much to do and see, with wonderful seafood restaurants serving fresh fish caught each day from the local fisherman. I would say it is very charming and romantic rather than touristy. Beaches were amazing and the harbour lovely. I would advise to try to book a room with balcony overlooking the harbour if you can. We were lucky enough to do this and it was wonderful. The streets in the old town are cobbled so make sure to wear sensible walking shoes!

Sozopol is a lovely and quaint old town, with beautiful views, reasonable prices and tasty local food. Local artisans are still available - for paintings, jewelry or other objects. It has nice beaches and offers a good alternative for spending a seaside holiday, as compared to the other Bulgarian seaside resorts - we prefer it.

Sozopol genuinely has something for everyone - great beaches, great places to eat and drink, a delightful old town, history a-plenty, but also nightlife of all kinds if that's your thing. Every year when we discuss where to stay on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, wherever else we visit, we always end up spending at least a few days in Sozopol.

Sozopol is a former fishermen village and they kept the architecture. The old town is wonderful to walk in, lots of places to eat well, lots of buildings to admire. Don't miss out the local Museums. Sozopol has 2 major nice beaches, but don't be shy, go also along the rocks, you will like the small areas there flooded with wild sea life. If you are lucky, you may be fortunate to see the local shows held in the Amphitheatre. You will find a lot of small art galleries, and hand made things and really cool street food.

Old town is really nice. come and spend 3-4 days not much.
Old town is really nice. come and spend 3-4 days not much. Most restaurants are too expensive and not on quality you expect. Beaches are not good so you must travel to have a great day on the beach. Definitely go to Sozopolo when Apolonia is there. Parking is close to impossible.

Amazing place with lots to see and experience.
Amazing place with lots to see and experience.
Tons of giftshops, some with actually handmade art and souvenirs.
Old Town is amazing, lots of live music.
Do be prepared to spend a lot of money though, like a lot of tourist destinations the prices are on the higher end.
Very big room and direct sea view.
we had everything: kettle, glasses, mugs, refrigerator, hair dryer, flatiron and an ironing board, little shower gels and shampoos.
The bed was very comfy and the windows really stopped the waves sound at night when the sea was really noisy. The balcony has sun protection.
Everything was very clean and the owner always asked us if we need anything.
You are between the old and the new town, the old town is not far. There's a public parking near the hotel.
The value for money is great. Considering it’s located in the old town of Sozopol where only traditional houses are found (no big hotels), in the best area up the hill and overlooking the entire bay, being the only property with a pool, with huge yard, and considering the price compared to other properties nearby, you will easily forget the rooms are not the biggest or the most luxurious. Huge plus was the availability of a parking spot right in front of the property.
The best location in Sozopol! Room no 313 was huge :) Side sea view was ok. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view from little lovely hotel terrace. Staff friendly and helpful.
During the season hotel has an opened restaurant with terrace above rocks and sea at the historical wall od Sozopol - must be wonderfil experience to eat breakfast there :) in Oct/Nov it was closed and we go there a bit around, but its was ok.
We have been visiting Arkutino(only the beach) for many years. To me it is one of the best beaches in Bulgaria, so we decided to give this resort a try finally. I like that you have a good spacious parking there. The food was ok, nothing special but ok. Overall there is a general idea to the resort, small four-floor buildings, nice landscape architecture. The view that we had from the balcony was really nice.
We had a great time at Perla beach hotel- friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent location( close to Sozopol beaches and Kavatsite , but away from the crowd). Small restaurants and supermarkets, including Lidl are close by. The breakfast was very tasty- princesses and pancakes were our favorite). If you looking for a place to feel home, that is the place! We recommend this hotel!
Very beautiful hotel, the location is very good - close to beaches (5 min) and walking distance (20 min) to the Sozopol Old Town. The room was clean, spacious, mediteranean vibe and had a sea view. The breakfast was delicious and you could have it by the pool. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience, would recommend this hotel if you come to Sozopol.
Location is good, walking distance to the beach (25 min) and to the old town of Sozopol (35-40 min). Next to the Lidl supermarket, very convenient.
Rooms are OK, spacious and clean, but basic and I felt a little overpriced (but I didn’t compare with another hotel nearby, so it is just a feeling)
The hotel was more attractive in the photos. The location was in the new part of Sozopol, there are no buses. There are beaches near the hotel, even a nudist beach)) 20 min. wolk from the hotel to the Old Town. Breakfast was good. The pool was clean. Thank you.
We had a great stay at the hotel for a week. It is super close to the beach and also easy to walk to the old town. The host and is parents are always there and are such nice people.
Make sure to also check out the small supermarket (instead of Lidl;))
A hotel with a magnificent view, close to the promenade leading to the Old Town and a stone’s throw to the central beach. Helpful and friendly personnel, tasty breakfast and a comfy bed count as doubtless pros of the facility.
One of the best places in Sozopol I have been. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Natasha who made our stay excellent. Hotel is very close to the beach and and beach bars but it is in very quite location.
Cheerful staff always smiling
The room was cozy and clean and had everything we needed (mini fridge, hair dryer, etc).
Good view from the terrace.
The hotel is not far from the old town and the center.
Non stop reception.
Nice, clean and comfortable room. Kind and helpful staff taking care of every detail. Perfect location close to the Central Beach and the Old Town. This is our 3rd stay and we feel at home in this hotel.
The hotel is very well situated - near the city center but far enough from the noisy crowds. A 10 min walk and you get to the Kavaci beach (one of the best in Sozopol). Clean pools, friendly staff.
Nadja and husband, very warm and helpful people, excellent service, excellent location, extremely clean, close to the beach, the best ever stay in Bulgaria. Will be back soon. Highly recommended!!
Clean, quiet, family run hotel, very kind and helpful hosts. Nice view to the see, full equipped pool.
The old town of Sozopol ist in 30 minutes walk distance. We enjoyed our holidays there.
Nice studio at the top of Santa Marina hills with amazing view over the bay. Make sure you visit the Sunset bar and diner for delicious Bulgarian dishes and beautiful sunsets.
Nice and clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Close to the beach. Parking is good, there were always spaces available(we used the car constantly to go to Sozopol etc).
