Wonderful, though not completely rehabilitated, but a nice jump in the past. Wonderful churches, a real feeling of religious belief. The castle is nice, though not what you would expect. The chapel in the castel really excellent. A masterpiece of spriritual creativity, you can feel the Holly Spirit inside. You can find restaurants with Polish food, you shoud try it. Lublin is a beautiful city, full of culture, history and great food. The main square and old town are full of charm, pedestrian only, with amazing fountains that host light and music presentations at times. We found Lublin very welcoming. If you are planning to stay for few days in Lublin, visit to a nearby Kazimierz Dolny is a must, as well as Majdanek for some sobering history experience.DamienUnited States - 10Scored 10

Lublin is a city like no other. Wonderful places, stunning landscapes and rooftop views. Fantastic, warm friendly people that want you to spend the best time. I spend 10 days in Lublin and also travelled to Kozlowka to see the palace. It’s a masterpiece Lublin is very safe. I walked at night every day. A truly amazing little town, with a great atmosphere. The mix of modern and medieval, the people and the culture is just great. The town has a lot of history, both bright and dark, and through the different attractions, it offers a time travel through both hard and light times.

Lublin is the 9th largest city in Poland with 9 universities...
Lublin is the 9th largest city in Poland with 9 universities attracting a global audience for study. The city over the last 10 years has undergone much modernisation with 5 mega shopping malls across the city. It boasts much history including Majdanek which is where Nazi's during the 2nd world war murdered Jews, Poles and other dissenters. Check out Skansen which is a throwback to how Poles lived back in the 18th/19th century. Beautiful Old Town, and catching the Sunday Bazaar is must go to find some hidden treasures and cheap wares! Just beware the swindler or chinese knockoffs, but those are few. They also have a nice well preserved shoe collection from a bigone era that were saved thanks to the German efforts to prevent the spread of typhus and cholera.

My room was quiet and I found the bed pretty comfy there. There is a restaurant below the ground floor where breakfasts have been served. I was happy to see decent selection of food there especially that I'm a vegetarian. Staff at the restaurant and receptionists were very friendly and helpful. It was possible to leave my luggage after my check out what was helpful for me.

I was there for nearly 3 weeks, so the washing/drying machine was such a convenience. It was easy to walk into Old Town for many shops and restaurants. There were bus/tram routes within 5 minutes walking to get to the train station, or you could walk it if you don't have a lot of luggage (30-40 minute walk to Lublin Glowny)
