Amalfi is a small and charming town with beautiful architecture and a lovely atmosphere. However, since it’s the central town of the entire Amalfi Coast, it tends to get very crowded — which unfortunately takes away some of its charm. That said, it’s still worth a visit, especially to admire its history and beauty. But I highly recommend exploring the nearby towns as well — like Positano, Atrani, Maiori, Minori, and others — each of them has its own unique character and is often much more peaceful and authentic.Guest review byLiza ManijaLatvia - 10.0
Positano is alive and buzzing.
Positano is alive and buzzing. It crowds and energy is not your thing and steps Positano is not for you. But if you're young or young at heart like we are it's definitely a destination not to be missed. There are boat rides to Amalfi, Capri, Sorrento and much more, Lemon grove tours, shopping, eating, lounging with a spritz, beach time. Lots to do or simply sipping on a spritz relaxing on the beach.Guest review byAnnaAustralia - 10.0
We were 100% satisfied with our stay in Maiori.
We were 100% satisfied with our stay in Maiori. It’s a great place to base oneself on the Amalfi out of the frenzy of some of the other more touristy towns which are still easy to access by ferry or bus. Always lovely to get back to the calm and the lovely long stretch of beach that Maiori offers with great swimming.Guest review byVivienSouth Africa - 10.0
Cute little town that has all you need.
Cute little town that has all you need. It's a great place to stay in the Amalfi region. It isn't as expensive as the other towns and you can still take a b to get to the costal towns. People were very friendly.Guest review byNatashaGermany - 10.0

We think Vietri is the best place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It is easy to reach (most other towns are a pain to drive to), and is a great place to explore from, with Pompeii only 25 mins drive and Herculaneum around 35 minutes, all motorway. The town itself is very authentic and prices are reasonable compared to the better known places. The boat service to other Amalfi towns is regular and easy to use without being too expensive (€25 return to Amalfi for 2 people) - we enjoyed the boat trips as much as the towns which were generally heaving with tourists, I’d hate to think what high season is likeGuest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

There is so much to see that is really close as well as the big sites like Pompeii. We enjoyed visiting the gardens of Cimborne & Rufolo. A walk up to the Valle de Ferriere is a cool green oasis steeped in history away from most tourists. Dont miss paying 5 euros to see the unique ecology of the waterfalls at the very top of the trailGuest review byMichcaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This is a great place to spend a couple of days.
This is a great place to spend a couple of days. To get around it’s hard with a car, but if you rent a scooter, you can get around the town as well as along the coast very easily. The open gate resort that we stayed at had parking for a vehicle, which made it nice.Guest review byEdwardUnited States - 10.0
Cute little town full of locals and some tourists.
Cute little town full of locals and some tourists. Not too busy, easy to get around. Plenty of choice of restaurants but not many bars if you were wanting to stay out later. We walked to Maiori for more choice of restaurants/bars but you have to walk on the side of the road with no pavement. Few good local mini markets, bakery etc. Shuttle bus €1 from church to get a ride up the hill to your accommodation. Nice beach without having to pay for loungers. Buses and ferries to take you all around Amalfi coast. It felt a relief to come back here after being somewhere busy like Amalfi or Positano all dayGuest review bySiobhanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Small hotel, family business, with friendly staff.
Small hotel, family business, with friendly staff. The hotel is in a fantastic location, it has its own stone beach and access to the sea. By car or bus it is easy to reach Amalfi, Positano, or any other town on the Coast. The restaurant in the hotel offers very good food at reasonable prices. The hotel is much better compared to the price.Guest review byGoranMontenegro - 10.0
