Loved the island. Two days were not enough. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys picturesque villages, great food, polite people.
Amazing churches apart from the magnificent main church in the city, don't miss Agia Pelagia in Kehrovounio. As well as village Volaka. Pyrgos was also beautiful with a nice square where you can enjoy traditional sweets like loukoumades, galactomboureko etc.
Better rent a car to see most of the island, although there is public transportation (not familiar with how frequently it runs). The streets are quite good so it's not difficult to drive even if you are not extremely confident, without traffic. The few villages we visited , had parking spaces just before entering the village which was very convenient.
In october, I was able to get quite economical accommodation and car. Although some car rental offices offer even lower prices if you book online beforehand. (At least one day earlier).
Even with high temperature, it was very windy so make sure you have appropriate clothes.

Great island, I have been many times.
Great island, I have been many times. I love the villages of the island. The food is also great.
I suggest swimming at Laouti if it is windy and everywhere else if not. Most beaches are very nice, like Kolibithra, Santa Margarita, Isternia, etc. I choose Livada, a wild beach in the North as a beach to visit, there is a 10 min. difficult road to drive to get there.
Must eat at Kalloni "Sto Theatraki", at Myrsini "Tereza", at Dyo Choria among others.
To close, a drink at Sunset View at Kardiani with a great view of Aegean sea.

The island has rugged landscape.
The island has rugged landscape. The villages are picturesque, white washed buildings, clean and tidy stonshowing the love of the locals for their island.
Great food, hidden restaurants and eateries that can surprise you on how well they are done. Bars with a view of the sunset that serve drinks and meals. The people are very friendly and willing to help. A good bus system, clean/new and fully air conditioned. Not too expensive and can find many reasonable places for each pocket. I would advise to have a car as its a distance to get to certain beaches. And to see the beautiful villages🇬🇷

Tinos town for me its lovely.
Tinos town for me its lovely.
My favorite place is the church and the nearby beaches. I eat everywhere and I have tried tavernas from other villages I have visited.
I can go back to Tinos but in the nearby area and nearby beaches to avoid the hustled curving roads. It isn't easy to go around Tinos if you don't know how to drive.

Loved the island!
Loved the island! Tinos Chora was smaller than Pariakia on Paros or the Naxos Chora. It was a bit more commercial. But we loved walking through the town and everyone we met was really friendly. We ate at 2 restaurants and the food and service was great. We hired a car from Dimitrias Rent a Car - we pre-booked and they collected us from the ferry with a little Suzuki Celerio. Painless and easy....and cheap. Would recommend them to anyone - ask for Helga.

Tinos is a charming island and just by being there I feel the blessing of virgin Mary who is helping all people who ask for her help. Don't hesitate to ask anything you need and she's the Mother of us all.
Our trip was awesome, I traveled with my baby and it was easy to find food for her and to sit at cozy restaurants /cafes while my baby was sleeping, people are very friendly
Lastly The CHEAPEST souvenirs ever of good quality. The food also is very good and at good price. Definitely I will come back.
We had an awesome stay at the Vincenzo Hotel. Picked up at port by Vincenzo. So helpful everyday. Organized the perfect car rental for us and took an interest in ensuring we were comfortable every day. Breakfast was amazing. Omelette, amazing fresh bread daily, yogurt, desserts, fruit. More than enough. Spotless facility and beautiful rooms. Perfect location. A couple of minutes and you are in the town. Lots of great places to dine. A ride back to the port by Vincenzo completed are 6 day stay at the hotel. Highly recommend.
Great location, within 5 minutes of port and 10 minutes of main town. Maria the owner was very pleasant, nothing too much trouble. Transferred us to and from the port and arranged car hire.
Apartments cleaned with fresh towels daily.
Fully equipped for self catering but plenty of places in town for food to suit all budgets.
Well worth hiring a car to explore the island and try out Tinos Trails if you like walking.
We also stayed at the neighbouring island of Syros, well worth a visit as well.
Alex Studios is located a short walk from the Tinos town centre (10 min walk). Marika was an exceptional host who provided a comprehensive overview of the island and the must visit attractions in Tinos, so good that she made it up for the lack of a dedicated tourist office on the island. The apartments were clean and neat, equipped with a kitchen and a balcony. The room was comfortable. Below are some pictures of Alex Studios I took the morning I checked out. Highly recommended.
It was an easy walk into town, about half mile. The room was large and had 2beds and the smallest balcony in the hotel. I booked a tripple room with a large balcony and deluxe sea view. I didn't get the room or view I booked. So not happy, despite several emails before regarding my room. The room was located next to 2 elevators which made it noisy. I specifically asked for a quiet room. The transportation to hotel was excellent thank you Michael.
Perfect location! I travel to Greece every summer and try to visit a new island with each trip and this is a true example of what Greek hospitality and philoxenia is! From being greeted with a fresh squeezed lemonade (from lemons in the garden), to free upgrade to a larger room, an overfilling breakfast of homemade foods and the local expertise everything was a 10/10 experience. Must stay location if you visit Tinos!
Very close to one of the best beaches on Andros, and exceptional hiking trails. With the owner's help I found one of the best breakfast places, the nearby Nero, as well as one of the best restaurants, Like Salt, in close proximity. If you are an early riser, like going for a swim or a peaceful run before breakfast - then this traditional hotel is in a perfect location as it's away from the morning hussle and buzz.
Amazing stay! The apartment is right in the center, in a quiet neighborhood so we could have a good night sleep. It is fully equipped with anything you might think of (including disposable toothbrush, home kit, other necessities that I haven't seen in hotels in Greece). The owner was very friendly and communicative. We did not have a car so he offered to pick us up from the port. Everything was exceptional!
Nikoletta was absolutely lovely, and the best thing about this hotel is her gorgeous garden, which you can sit in and enjoy at your leisure, it's very peaceful!
My room was very spacious (for Greece!) and had nice big windows which opened up to the beautiful garden.
Great location in a quiet and authentic neighborhood, yet minutes from downtown, or lovely beach in other direction.
Thoroughly recommend.
We liked everything!!! We stayed in 2nd floor panoramic room and it did not disappoint. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The balcony and the view was sensational. The hosts were generous and helpful, giving us fresh eggs, fruit and cakes. Apartments have parking, they are quiet and rural. It takes about 20mins or so to walk into Tinos town and less that 10 mins walk to beach.
Location offered great proximity to Chora (Tinos town). Nice 15 minute walk. Room had a nice balcony with sea view, and the plunge pool with built-in seating spots was terrific. Breakfast served in the room was wonderful and indulgent.
Amazing view from the room, worth getting a sea view one!Excellent location, extremely friendly staff!Breakfast had everything we needed.Very comfortable beds.Highly recommended.Value for money hotel. Will definetely stay again
The location was very convenient; close to the tinos town center, but far from the noisy crowds. Additionally, the room was very nice and the protective measures for sars2 were observed meticulously from the staff.
The hotel is almost perfect in all ways. The modern architecture, the perfect location and the luxury are combined with the cleanliness and helpful staff making it the go-to destination for the Tinos island.
Both the location and the breakfast were great. The hotel was located near everything within a 3 minute walk to the shops, the church, the restaurants.
