This hotel was amazing. Small, welcoming, personal and very well thought out. The staff was helpful at every turn, greeting us each day asking what coffee or tea they could make us. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. Dinner was excellent as well and it was so nice being able to eat right there in the hotel. They also made me the best Aperol Spritz I had during our entire 3 weeks in Italy. It was perfect to have sitting on our balcony enjoying the view! Additionally, just down the road is a mini-mart where you can buy bus tickets and other food items to enjoy. There was a nice fridge in the room to store drinks. It was perfect.

The staff at Il Pino went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable and comfortable. Upon arrival, Adrian took care of our car and even took the time to make an event of videoing my wife’s reveal of our gorgeous balcony view! Was like a second honeymoon. We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night and it was like being in a movie. Memorable characters, delicious food and exceptional service! Rosa took care of everything for us in making our day trip to Capri. Rosa introduced us to the water taxi service! The absolute best way to get from Praiano to Positano! The walk down to the dock was an experience in itself, but the views of the gorgeous waters and cliffs made it worthwhile. The staff recommended the best local restaurant for our last night of our stay and it was just as delicious as Il Pino! If you are looking for a place that captures the laid back, yet elegant vibe of the Amalfi coast, this is where you need to stay!!!

We love Priania we have been there several times and it never disappoints. It’s a small town but everything you need is there the bus service to Positano and Amalfi is very handy. There's not a lot to do in Praiano itself but it's a great place to stay for day trips to Positano and Amalfi with frequent buses stopping in the village. Buses to and from neighbouring Amalfi and positano are cheap but don't necessarily arrive on time !! Tickets must be purchased in advance at little shops. The locals are very friendly and happy to point you in the right direction and if you need help with the steep stairs take the little local Bus for one euro that runs exactly in time and to listen to the locals is a joy. Such a community feel and a great feel good boost !!

The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite.
The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite. We walked from Praiano to Positano and had lunch in Nochelle. The walk up the to the church and the views were wonderful. The little town on the hillside was clean and bright and wonderful for anyone who does not mind walking up and down many steps. I would recommend that future travellers not spend much time in either Positano or Amalfi. Both were crowded and very touristy.BarbaraUnited States of America - 10Scored 10
A great value to stay as "home base".
A great value to stay as "home base". We did day trips to Positano and Amalfi each day via water taxi. The bus would have been much more economical but we wanted to see each town from the water and the taxis provided a mini tour of the coast with each trip. We did want to take the city bus to the beach on a Sunday AM, but after waiting about 20 minutes it passed our stop by b/c it was packed full. We decided to do the 30 minute walk to Il Gavitella beach and discovered some nice small shops and the San Gennaro church. The town itself has great restaurant options including Il Pirata, Franchino and La Moressa.

We enjoyed a water taxi to Positano for a day trip (which was great- but we were thrilled we made the decision to stay in Praiano over Positano). Grand Hotel Tritone had the most incredible staff and service - we got to know Luigi, Anna Lisa, Alessandro and Paulo very well by the end of our stay and they enhanced our overall experience of Italy!

The apartment was overlooking the coast road and the sea. We dined most evenings on the front patio overlooking the sea and moon, was beautiful. There were also two little family owned mini markets within 2 minutes walk from our door and a paid parking garage. Right up the hill in Praiano there was a larger shopping market along with other facilities, restaurants, hotels, coffee shops and even a gym.

The manager and his workers have perfect personalities. I wish I could give more than a 10 out of 10 score. The cleanliness of the room, the quality, and the quantity of the breakfast are perfect. The view from the hotel is spectacular. The view isn't just of the ocean but also of the Positano village! I really miss the hotel and its kind staff. I hope to see them again.

Additionally, the set of stairs leading to Marina di Praia beach are very close. We were able to walk from the property to the beach as well as many excellent restaurants in Praiano. The view from our room and from the terrace where breakfast was served was stunning.
