The pool and the staff were great. Poolside bar was great as was the Bayview restaurant, although it was a bit pricey, beautiful views and beautiful property.

I really liked how available the host was. He answered my questions within minutes of messaging. Once we were on site, we were greeted immediately by the host. His insights on where we could travel throughout our stay in the Baja were very helpful. We also enjoyed the beautiful courtyard. It is very peaceful and cozy.

Our room was a really good size and the patio outside had a great view of the sea and sunrise watching. The restaurant had good dinner options. The staff was super friendly and aim to please.

Very well appointed. Big, comfortable bed. Great shower. Quiet location. Attention to details: had dish soap and sponge, nice bath products, fluffy towels. Amber was available and a great host. Dog friendly!

very small town, excellent for fishermen/ladies, but boat rental is 400.00 us for the day with a guide. snorkeling is good close by, rent an atv and go exploring. shopping and food slightly on expensive side for mexico but the people were very nice. restaurants will cook the food/fish you catch for a reasonable price.

I liked the small town feel and convenience.
I liked the small town feel and convenience. What made me angry was the price of food and drink at the airport San Jose Del Cabo. 42 dollars for two cheeseburgers and a soda at Carls ??? A major turn off. Also you will never see me at the Hotel District downtown near Cabo San Lucas as those resorts are way way overpriced !

They went out of their way to provide vegan meals for us at both breakfast and dinner which we greatly appreciated! The garden was filled with the sounds of the cactus wrens foraging on the ground, gila woodpeckers in the palms and beautiful little parakeets in the hotel’s birdcage. The musician performing nightly at the Bayview Restaurant was very entertaining and fun! There were so many different options for seating areas by the pools or bars/restaurants that it was easy to feel like you had the whole place to yourself while enjoying the views of the sea and the mountains across the bay.
Only downside was that many of the restaurants in the town of Los Barriles were closed for the summer (most reopened starting in October) but luckily we had everything we needed right there at the hotel!

This was a scam!!
This was a scam!! I was charged money for a booking that was not open. .. not sure this place even exists in real life. I called the host who let me know that it was under construction-- so why did Booking.com allow me to pay for a place I couldn't use?
Why isn't this important information about the location posted on the site?
You need to flag this property owner, and please refund my money.

I loved the friendliness of all the people.
I loved the friendliness of all the people. It's like going back in time, there are cows on the highway and dogs are allowed in the restaurants! One never gets tired of watching the kite surfers and we played pickleball also! No big ships come in, and it doesn't seem like a tourist town, it's more like a place where a lot of Americans go to live part or full time!

Ive been there for fishing about 15-20 times in the past 25 years each time the fishing gets worse! The boat Captains are not accommodating to the client needs as they used to be. different breed of captain i guess. they do not want to get live bait ( TOO MUCH FUEL!) as they should! instead , the just want to take u on a very expensive boat ride! And then they expect a large tip! Im done thank u! Going to La Paz!
The hotel was very well located and staff were fantastic. Special thanks to Carlos who could not do enough for us and allowed us a late checkout which was also appreciated. The pool area was great. While there was no coffee or TV in the room, it was nice to enjoy coffee by the pool in the morning, where a TV was also located. The hotel was very quirky with lovely Mexican art, and room was spacious. Would stay again and also highly recommend!
Great value for the space. The room was large and very clean. Nice big shower. The pool is clean and refreshing with lots of space and chairs set around it. Staff was great with checkin and accommodating. Great location, quick walk to the beach if you don’t want to sit by the pool. Close to all the restaurants and shops. Very quiet small town and this hotel is a great easy space to setup in and relax for a bit.
The location was perfect, a ways out of Los Barriles, within walking distance to the beach. We rented a quad to get around in and that was fun. It was quiet at night which was perfect for us. The host Yazmin was perfect. She was helpful in every way and fun to be around. I would recommend this place to others and would come again!
We liked the location of the hotel as it was right on the beach. There were some options for food. The restaurant at the pool bar was good and provided an excellent spot to watch the sunset. The beach provides the opportunity for very long walks in either direction. It was quiet.
Location and the hotel were second to none. Great beachside pool, hot tub (actually quite warm) and many bars and restaurants. The staff was perfect and our ocean front room was set up for a long term stay. Best pillows in all of Mexico :)
Great location in town in a glorious beach. A no frills hotel but provided all we needed. Lovely big pool
And great beach bar - thank you Leo and Martine!! Thanks also
To
Tomas for arranging a doctor visit very promptly. We will return
The staff was great. The hotel lovely and with charm. We swam in the pool , which is small but nice. We appreciated the free parking. It is very close to the beach and restaurants. Free coffee is offered in the morning.
there was no breakfast, and most restaurants close by do not open until 8. we did find one on the beach (caters to fishermen) open earlier, but a short walk from hotel. pool was fabulous, place was quiet and perfect
Location is great. There are 2 components to the Hotel; we stayed in the older portion of "bungalows". A little rough, but habitable. The Restaurant (not the hotel dining room) is excellent. Service and food above per.
65 years of traveling to baja and staying in a few hotels like this one along the way is why I return. Los barriles hotel is now a fave of mine and my friends. Thanks we had a blast!
TU AMIGO GALLO
Great location with old Baja feel. We have stayed her before and returned for central location and relaxation along with fishing and central location to restaurants etc.
The food is fine. The best part of this hotel is the location. Beach front and activity center on site.
The town is walking distance, but dirt road is not lit at night.
