We really enjoyed just about every aspect of the trip. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly.

Staff were very helpful. I wanted to go to St Wolfgang and staff worked out where nearest bus stop for me to go to was, rather than having to go to the bus station.
The bar out in the hotel garden was lovely.
Balcony in room was good

Clean, bathroom and toilet is separated, room spacious, wifi is good, hill and river view, the sound of river gives us more relax moment, parking is available for free directly infront of the hotel.
Small town as a gateway to the Lake region. Perfect for stopping by incase you want to visit Hallstat and other lake regions.
Town itself is good with few important touristic spots like Kaiservilla etc. Good scenery especially on a cloudy day. Being small town shops closes by 6 and then nothing much to do as it becomes quiet.

it is a very cosy and slow city, with plenty of possibilities around in the region. Thanks to the train station it was easy to get there or travel from there around. Super nice, that the swimmingpool and terms are open until midnight!

I have fallen in love with Bad Ischl and its “Sommerfrische”! We first went there in 2021 for the Lehár Operette Festival. It is a quiet village which falls asleep at 10pm, but such a relaxing and beautiful place to stay with so many daytime activities on offer. Close to different lakes and plenty of hiking and cycling opportunities. Lots of culture and loaded with history. I will return here every summer for many years to come.

We went to the thermal after dinner and it was pretty empty (which was great!) note that you must be naked in the Sauna zone.
We had dinner at K.U.K and it was the best dinner we had in our trip
If you come at Winter, for breakfast I recommend to eat at the place you are staying because all cafes serves food outside... for us it was too cold. We ate at a hotel in the center.

1. With "Katrin Seilbahn" you can get a great view. Google Maps will tell you to walk to this place. However, you can get here by bus 551 from Bad Ischl train station. (Takes 10 minutes)
2. Taking a hot spring bath at "Eurotherme Resort" is also recommended.
3. Don't miss out on a delicious meal at "Umeko"

I highly recommend to visit Kaiservilla in Bad Ischl, it still belongs to the descendants of Habsburgs, well maintained, has great atmosphere and the tour guide there was just amazing. The Kaiservilla was featured at least in couple of movies (about Sissi and Ludwig II) and it really stands out compared to the visits to the other palaces and museums around the world, has some special personal touch and is of high historical significance.
Also Bad Ischl is a great budget base for visiting Hallstatt.
We booked the hotel last minute and were lucky enough to still be able to book a superior room with a balcony overlooking the river/mountains. The view was beautiful.
The spa/chill out area was an unexpected bonus and great that it was open until 9pm giving plenty of time to relax after a day of exploring.
The bar downstairs is also great. Great service, great atmosphere and the food was delicious and really reasonable (really recommend the sandwich with roast beef). Will definitely be coming back!
V comfortable apartment , well located to explore the beautiful Salzkammergut.
Well equipped kitchen allowing self catering . Washing machine useful for
Family holidays .
Apartment well located in quiet residential area but easy 10 min walk to town center and shops and restaurants.
Bad Ischl a perfect base to explore the Salzkammergut; the Katrin , Hallstadt and our family highlight hiking around the Gosausee which is stunningly beautiful.
We stayed there with our 1 year old son and how they treated all of our family was excellent. They prepared a lot of toys, and also some other stuff (e.g. coffees, teas etc.) for us. We loved the terrace, just sitting there with a coffee or a beer and watching the mountains. The apartman is clean, tidy with a lot of different rooms, places, and it is just 5 minutes from Bad Ischl center, and just 8 minutes from the Kaiservilla.
Loved that the apartment was fully functional along with utilities in the kitchen. It was easy to locate on Google maps, parking was easy. The host met us, she was very warm and friendly and gave us tips on what to do in Bad Ischl. Since we were travelling with a 4 year old we were relying on kitchen for our evening meals - which was nice with dishwasher, oven and a hob - and other utensils.
The location was very good and the apartment is very spacious. You can find here everything what you need for a longer stay in Bad Ischl. All informations given to us via email or left in the apartment were very clear. We really enjoyed our stay here and the team was relly helpful from the beginning. Kitchen was also well equipped.
A lovely property with a private terrace overlooking the mountains. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked and there was a power shower. In light of the amenities, to include a dishwasher and a washing machine, this was an ideal base for a self-catering holiday in Salzkammergut Region of Austria. The WiFi also worked well.
An underrated Hotel in Bad Ischl great for groups of four. Comfortable beds and the buffet breakfast is really worth it. It's amazing that the hotel is understaffed but still manage to provide for and treat the guests properly without complaints. The reception and the cleaning lady deserves a raise for their best work 👌
Well equipped apartment (Nesspresso machine, microwave, wash machine, dishwasher…) Clean and nicely designed. Right in the city centre. Parking in the closed parking area. Great place if you want to enjoy evening/night life of Bad Ischl.
Plenty of parking space for free in hotels private area, super clean room and bathroom. Location is in the middle of the center of Bad Ischl, everything on walking distance in 5 min. Train/Bus station right next to the hotels entrance.
Good location in heart of Salzkammergut to make tours. You can you by car, by bike, ... Nice city, cultural programs in Bad Ischl.
The room was big and clean and it had very nice temperature in summer without climate, too. Nice yard.
The apartment is really good, clean, everything you need was there, as well as parking. If you want a relaxed and peaceful holiday, we recommend staying at "Im Kurpark" in Bad Ischl.
my parents really enjoy the stay. it’s walking distance about 10 mins to hotel from train station. breakfast come with variety of selections. SPA and swimming very nice and clean.
I felt very welcome, great place to stay if you visit Bad Ischl. The walk to town is 25 minutes but because it is so beautiful that was an extra plus. Highly recommended!
spacious apartment with all required amenities, good choice for couples or groups. You can make this as base location and travel to Hallstatt and other villages
