The staff was absolutely wonderful. Julia, who helped check us in went above and beyond to book the hot springs for us give great recommendations for restaurants and areas to visit and even helped us find an incredible sailing experience!
We loved the facilities, while we enjoyed going to the public hot springs on the island, coming back to this secluded oasis was the best part. We used the facilities as a circuit, spending time in the sauna before using the gorgeous outdoor pool as a cold plunge and repeating this circuit a few times. While the outdoor pool is not heated, it was perfect to plunge into after the sauna, and then return to the heated indoor pool.
We also did a couples massage that included an 80 minute body massage and 20 minute head massage that was transcendental.
We had the king room with it's own small pool, I was expecting the pool to be cold but it was slightly warm, not a hot tub, but warm enough we could enjoy it during our cool mornings.
The cocktails, while expensive, were some of the best cocktails I have ever tried in my life, and Tony was great. The selection of liquor they have is not your everyday big brands, but they have many small batch liquors that are unique and delicious.
Momo the restaurant, while expensive (US prices) was worth the cost. It serves very high quality local ingredients with a modern flare.

An amazing, recently renovated place hosted by incredibly friendly and helpful host. She met us at the door, and walked us through extras like terrace, a separate kitchen house, etc. Breakfast elements were provided (jams, cereal milk etc) and it was delicious! Thanks.

Ginetes is a small town with limited resources for visitors, other than a market maybe, and a church. It isn't particularly attractive and requires a car to get to from the hotel.
This is a peaceful boutique hotel in a beautiful and remote setting. However, it is right off the main road traveling to the southwest of the island. It was a very easy drive, around 20-25 minutes, from the airport and with very little traffic, as it is going away from Punta Delgada. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the west coast and also Sete Cidades. There is no place to eat close to the hotel, but its dining room has exceptional food.
Although the ocean is within view of the hotel, you can not walk to it. In fact, I did not find any good walking travels near the hotel.
