Tanah Rata is the main centre for exploring the Cameron Highlands. The main activities are walking in the nearby rainforest trails and taking a tour up to look at the lovely tea plantations in the area and then up to the moss forests up in the mountains (about 2000 metres above sea level). Take good rainwear!

Tanah Rada has a quiet environment.
Tanah Rada has a quiet environment. There are some garden houses left over from the British colonial period in the town, as well as many holiday homes. The front and back of the house are planted with exotic flowers and trees, just like the British spring and summer scenery.

There are plenty of food outlets here so don't have to worry about getting food. The local mall, Cameron Fair is still not filled up. There are many empty lots there for rent etc... We enjoyed the local market near Zenith hotel.

I like the conveniece to buy food , laundry ,bank and many food stall and cafe and hiking activity. Should pay a visit to MARDI Agrotechnology Garden ticket only RM6.50 and must try the Chinese Nyonya food Fern's Restaurant. Food is delicious with reasonable price. Weather is cooler compare to other places in Penisular Malaysia like in KL , Ipoh or Penang.
Staff was incredibly helpful in booking us a a land rover excursion, and helping with anything else we needed. I.e. late checkout etc. Breakfast was simple but good. Had the feeling of a hostel but called a hotel. Water in lobby and in rooms was great. Fan in room was great too, curtains kept out the light when we needed to sleep in... all in all it's a place to sleep near a small market, great Indian restaurant (Highland Spice) and the bus stop from KL.
What I like the most is the location, it is near to the shops - restaurants, mart, and food court with ample car park, so if there is a traffic jam in Cameron Highland and it usually is during the weekend or public holidays, this is a good place to stay, they are of walking distance. But it is a bit far to the place of interest, Pasar Malam, Tea plantation.
Great and nice place to stay, well maintain and keep clean. Nice view and from balcony. nearest to many restaurants, minimarket and etc. Calm area because isolate from main road. Completed set of cookware.
Near to Mardi and Taman Pertabalan Tanah Rata.
Selfcheck-in just collect the key from souvenir shop.
Will come again. Thanks host.
location was superb! everything by walking distance. breakfast just front the hotel. convenience store, bank. the house was generally clean, bed can be pulled at the bottom, so very convenient. 6 towels provided. bathrooms are clean. the decoration are relaxing. overall, i enjoyed my stay.
Really a great concept… with all the benefits of an apartment and meeting other people, while still having the privacy of your own room.

Clean. Good location. Near Maybank - see photo. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The Mayflower chinese restaurant nearby is quite good. Recommend the local veggies as they are fresh and sweet. See photo of the Cameron highlands cabbage - crispy and naturally sweet.
The location.
Walking distance to Perumahan Makmur Cameron Jaya (abundance of eateries) and Tanah Rata.
The accomodation
Spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. Private parking space. Wifi. Smart TV.
The price
The lowest amongst others. Definitely a gem.
Hostel is in the middle of town less than a 10min walk from the bus terminal serving the Cameron Highlands. The room was nice, the social space was cosy...but actually very social. The hostel is positioned next to shops, restaurants and food markets.
such a sweet home stay just off the main road in Cameron Highlands so super close to shops and restaurants. I booked very last minute but the host was there to greet me and show me my room and facilities. lovely quiet area- would away again
