Overall, the room was very spacious and clean, and we were pleased with it. The staff seemed a little disorganized, but they were OK. Unfortunately, a kidnap website captured our initial payment and we had to call the credit card company to dispute it, but they still had a room available. This was fine.

I love the small town feel with so much to do. Be careful where you stay. There are some good deals on hotels, but, check the reviews before you book your room.
There are so many beaches that you have good access to.
We are motorcycle riders. There is a really cool bar on the beach called Woody's. Great views, friendly bar tenders.
We ate at Doc Holiday's. The food was phenomenal. Try their pulled pork burger! You better be hungry.
There are a lot of cool places to party right across the street from the beach.

If you are staying at the hotel, wait until check-in to buy passes for attractions. Paid parking is not really worth it. Free Parking lot is literally a few steps away. Plan your experience to correspond with movie times. Shearns is awesome. Ashame you cannot check in until after 4.

The hotel lights went out no lights in hallway very disappointed no lights in steps very disappointed will never stay there again was afford a free night for the inconvenience I will tell every body I know never to that hotel in Galveston and the front desk was a joke and would not give there names I just haven't had time to contact the corporate office to let them know what happened my stay
This hotel should not be on booking.com . We arrived super late to find it to be super dark, not so great people hanging out on balcony. Door to room appear to have a metal plate like it had been once broken. Room had no baseboards. One trash can no phone. Floors new however when u walk km them felt so dirty. The area was like being in hood. My husband slept with gun. If had not been so late we would not have stayed. We had no idea where to look for a safer hotel that late in Galveston.
I stayed at La Quinta & Suites in Galveston after camping several days at Galveston State Park so it was great to be able to sleep without the heat, noise and mosquitoes. The staff was generally friendly, the free breakfast was fine and the room was very comfortable. It was away from the beach but within a short walk. There were numerous restaurants close by so over all a relaxing stay and I would choose this hotel again.
What a stunningly beautiful place! from the entryway, front desk, cafe, and rooms we were blown away at this historic hotel! the high ceilings in the rooms were amazing and the bed was soooo comfortable! the food in the cafe was a BIG surprise. it was classy, delicious and served with kindness and a smile. we will only stay here from now on, when visiting Galveston!
Great location close to all the hot spots in Galveston, Dog friendly, nice pool area, staff was exceptional, rooms were very nice and super clean. Was a little worried bc most dog friendly hotels are either super expensive or not nice at all but the faculty was super nice. Well worth the cost
Got double booked and didn’t even stay there, slept in our vehicle the first night we were in Galveston with a 4 month old baby because of this and everything else was already booked up even hotels… do better Booking.Com. Nothing towards the house because we didn’t even get to see it!
Room location and staff were excellent. Merry was very courteous and helpful. Valet was excellent and hotel held our bags after checkout so that we could attend granddaughter’s award assembly.Would recommend and stay again when in Galveston.
I've stayed at this same hotel since it was the Beachcomber Inn every year since 2009. I never stay anywhere else. It's affordable, and a convenient location, and has everything I need. The rooms do look a bit nicer now.
We love staying here when we come to Galveston the hotel is clean staff is friendly and the location is great. We like to fish on the pier and the hotel is right around do the corner from it. Breakfast was good as well
Galveston is super cute and has great bars and testaurants
Hotel has history and its kinda beautiful but not modern
Very (!) friendly valet (always open doors and smile) anf helpful
The hotel is walking distance to Galveston Fishing Pier. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were large. The room was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave.
It was well located on the beach but not in the supper busy area. It was great to see that breakfast was normal and not using Covid as an excuse to go cheap. Well done.
The room was super clean and well stocked with what we needed. The hotel was right on the beach which mean we could run back to the room for things if needed.
