Small town, very friendly and helpful people. Lots of tour vendors and shops, but no one is pushy. Walked about 20 minutes away from tourist area to a very good restaurant - Domingo's. Worth the walk. Easy to find, felt safe all the way.

After a couple of days there, we looked up crime statistics. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the average number of crimes committed in the city was almost none! We walked home at night, since everything was within walking distance, stopped and had tacos from vendors on the streets. It was the most peaceful place, we’ve already booked our return trip in July.

Loreto surpassed our expectations.
Loreto surpassed our expectations. The scenery to and into Loreto is breathtaking. The scenery to the San Javier mission is stunning. The 17th century mission and it's history is well worth travelling to see. Loreto was worth the 4.5 hour drive from La Paz, where we are living for six months. We will definitely return to hike the Mesquite Canyon trail and take a trip to isle of Coronado to see the see lions and birds. Not a big snorkeler, but relaxing on the beach will be ok for me. We wanted to extend our visit for an extra day, but we forgot my husband's medication.

My situation might be a little different than most travelers because I drove down from Calif with friends that live in Loreto and who knew the best places to go, so everywhere I went with them was great. Favorite bar and margarita at Vics. Pablano for tacos. All the restaurants around the Mission are very good. Coffee, sodas and water are expensive often as much as the main course. There are many renovations and improvements to the historic Mission district in Loreto on-going. The beach adjacent to the lighthouse is wonderful and the esplanade along the waterfront is very nice to walk. Great airport, very small, but very nice.

If you are not into fishing a long weekend would do.
If you are not into fishing a long weekend would do. It is a small town and can be expensive, but not as expensive as Cabo. We went for six days and it was our first time. There are tours also, but pricey. We walked around town and took the San Javier Mission tour and the Coronado island tour. Had a good time. People in Loreto were very friendly and at no time did we fear for our safety. We will go back again. Gods willing.

Loreto is a charming colonial town located in a nature...
Loreto is a charming colonial town located in a nature preserve that's a UNESCO heritage site. It's low-key and friendly. If you're into swimming, sailing, snorkeling, hiking and relaxing in an unspoiled environment, this is the place.
The location of the property was 3 minutes away from the malecon and the marina. It was short walking distance to the plaza for shopping and eating. You have access to bikes on the property to get around.
The pool was amazing! Our room had a kitchen but we ended up cooking/barbequing in the outdoor kitchen which was fabulous. Cindy who is the host that lives there was fantastic. She has all of the connections you would need to truly experience Loreto. Also if you ever need anything for your room she had access to get!
Simple but very clean room, hot water. The view incredibly beautiful. I loved the hammocks outside the room, as well as the chairs facing the sea. The buffet dinner is good, but what is delicious and included is breakfast. The waiters and the frontdesk guys and the security guard were very friendly. Who I believe is the owner of the hotel, very friendly too. Something incredible "The boss" a beautiful collie dog making sure everything was okay
Ok location outside of Loreto with easy access to main highway There was a bench swing on the veranda to sit on, and available picnic table and barbecue available. The water and mountain view was from the upstairs loft window. The stairs to the loft had one rail against the wall side but open to the other. No bathroom upstairs so need to be careful with the stairs if getting up in the night. Wouldn't be ideal with younger children.
Rooms matched the photos exactly.
I had the smaller room which was fine, but a weird layout.
My travel partner had the larger room which was nicer and obviously was more spacious.
Wifi was good and fast enough, shower was hot and nice.
The hotel has a garden to sit in with a big bird cage full of budgies. Really nice to look at.
Then neighborhood is quiet and there is a convenience store around the corner.
The property was spacious, private and very comfortable. Our room was clean and had all kitchen needs for your vacation trip. The location was very convenient , only a few minute walk to the beach. The pool was clean and relaxing. And last but not least our host Cindy was super helpful; especially if it’s your first time in Loreto! Definitely a hotel I would stay at again next time my family and I visit Loreto.
The hotel is adorable, clean, and a great location. Vicky was incredibly warm and helpful with everything we needed while we were there. And Orlando’s Restaurant where we got breakfast in the morning as part of our room fee is literally one of the best restaurants in town. Can not recommend staying at Casa Mangos highly enough.
Its a new developed mini-hotel with rooms that are equipped with simple kitchenettes. Very clean and staff are wonderful. There is a lovely shared roof deck that you can walk up to with nice sitting areas. This is a great bonus, as our room didn't have any view, or outdoor access.
Very nice boutique hotel. Fully met our expectations. The staff was extremely accommodating and kind. Location is great, right next to the malecón, shops and restaurants...and the hotel offers parking. Will definitely stay there again.
Staff is super polite and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good, coffee was good. Beautiful scenery of the bay, pool, golf course, etc. It's a little dated, but price is good. Room service is convenient but not the best food.
Perfect location on the main walking street in Loreto.
Super convenient and quiet at night with nice live music from the nearby restaurant in the evenings.
Very comfortable and clean, brand new apartment.
Quiet and very convenient to the marina as well as the central plaza. A sweet little boutique hotel with a great on-site Brewery and bar with restaurant service. A wonderful breakfast offering each morning.
Location was central to everything… loved it! The restaurant next door had the best dinner we’ve had in years… fabulous! And the owner gives you a discount for staying at his hotel…
Great little boutique hotel. We were there for just the night, as we were driving down to Cabo. now I want to take my wife to this hotel and Loreto for a getaway.
