The pictures on booking.com are older than the pope!!! I told my children we were staying at a castle but I didn't think it would be the dirtiest castle in the UK. Whilst staying at said "castle" I witnessed MANY disturbing incidents. Including, one guest saying to myself (a stranger and this was the first thing said to me) "did you see that unit of a guy? He asked if he could hide in my room as armed police are looking for him. I said no as I have kids but he is hiding in my car"
Another guest told me that when the police attend an incident and they need to separate people but they haven't done anything to be arrested. They bring them to the this hotel to stay the night. Where alcohol is easily accessible among other guests including children.
I also found a condom wrapper in our room. Luckily for the hotel cleaners, me and my partner trust each other but this could have caused quite the issue. Many guests I spoke to (mainly overheard) were in sync. The hotel is dirty and unsanitary. I was even offered to purchase cocaine by someone. If you have cctv of the middle doors of Sunday morning 2am ish I would gladly point said person out. He told me he only had 2 left so to return quickly. I acted as if it was the norm to me as I was alone and just went outside for smoke as I struggle sleeping. I was quite nervous and told the man I would return soon and let him know. I did not return. The picture attached, the rubbish shown was there from the friday I booked in 2100hrs to the Sunday afternoon I left.

A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

Apart from the accomodation not being as described online, we had a fab time. We are a family with young children so we would highly recommend The Gruffalo & Friends-well organised, kept the kids active and entertained, and the photo opportunities with the characters was a nice touch.
Sealife-was one of the best we have visited, the kids loved it.
Madame Tussauds- again, kids enjoyed this too especially the music and marvel sections!
The highlight of our trip has to be the Tower Circus...its a must! The kids are still talking about it now!!!
Also, a new addition since we last visited is the Elephant trail...we all loved spotting a new one whether it was among the attractions, on the seafront or in the town centre!!!

The proximity to the beach and main entertainment venues of Blackpool - only a short walk from Blackpool Tower and the seafront. Excellent full English breakfast. Friendly bar and staff. Limited free parking in front of the hotel. Struggled to find parking near hotel on New Year’s Eve, but managed to find parking at

The next day I managed to find a spot in the car park adjacent to the hotel, which was a bonus!

best hotel we have stayed in in Blackpool and we are frequent visitors, we will definitely be back
The owner was lovely and happy to help us and made sure we had everything we needed for the room. We was given a better room than we booked this was due to it being quiet and was happy to up grade the rooms and was told this when we arrived. The room we was in was a decent size with shower for the price with a cumbered and draws for clothing. The location of the hotel is fantastic nice and easy to get to the main parts of Blackpool.
Hotel in great location and great value for the money, stayed in the family room in July 2023 , the staff were so helpful and everything was ready for us coming. Staff lovely and kept making sure we had everything. Been going to blackpool for years , this has to be the best value for money hotel, I will definitely be booking here again. Also great location
While the room was more than a little aged and cramped and a hot shower was a gamble, the Walford more than made up for it with their very welcoming staff and superb breakfasts. Within a single morning, we all felt like family and were very well looked after. I’m sure I’m misspelling their names, but Lynne, Gary and Gail are some of Blackpool’s best!!
The owner was so friendly and the rooms were great and cosy. A couple minutes walk from Blackpool centre, with plenty of affordable food places around. I would really recommend staying here as it's affordable and welcoming.
Ps. This was my first time travelling without family and the Balkan hotel was the best to start my travelling experience ☺️
The owners were very welcoming from arrival to departure, and the hotel was very clean. The bestest one so far in blackpool, room reasonable size, and the beds were really comfy. The location is good, not on the seafront but not far from coral island, I would definitely stay here again, and so would my daughter 😀
Room was excellent we didn't have time to use the pools. We went to see a show in Blackpool so we didn't get back till late the entertainment looked good but we was too tierd to stay up. We couldn't hear any noise from our room. Best stay we have had in Blackpool and will deffo be using this hotel again ☺️
The house is amazingly clean modern and has a lovely location and it's a 5 minute drive to Blackpool seafront. We also ordered a lovely Chinese takeaway which was delivered fast. The garden area of the property is lovely for sitting outside and is stunning and modern.
Close to the beach, pleasure beach and Blackpool South train station.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the decor amazing. I would have loved to have stayed longer and experienced an evening in the beautiful bar.
Breakfast was amazing.
The owners and staff were outstanding. They made such an effort to make me feel special for my birthday. The hotel room had everything, iron, hairdryer etc. The breakfast was delicious and great location to Blackpool attractions.
Calm and quiet area of Blackpool to stay with a tram stop just over the road from the hotel giving easy access to get up and down the length of the seafront. Also excellent service from Jackie the manager who was very helpful.
Location was perfect for coming out the hotel to either go left to the pleasure beach/sandcastle walking distance or right for Blackpool tower and shops. Very happy with parking being available at a good value price
close to Blackpool and tram lines, and check in was easy and straight forward with parking at the hotel. park at the hotel for 48 hours was good, easy tram connections to the centre then.
In all had a good time and chill. Hotel was good to get about and see the lot of Blackpool
Staff are great and entertainment great.will be back for my next stay
