When the sky is blue the views of the lake and snow-capped mountains are stunning. On grey rainy days not so much! Central tourist area easy to get around. Good range of restaurants, bit pricey. Cable car to mountain top offers great views. Trip on lake worthwhile. Queenstown Gardens lovely for a walk. We hired a car one day and drove south along the lake, so picturesque; then north to Arrowtown which was a lovely village. Queenstown definitely worth a 3 or 4 night stay even if you're not into adventure activities, of which there are many to participate in.

Beautiful looking town with everything nice and central.
Beautiful looking town with everything nice and central. Activities are very very expensive and so a family would need to save for quite a while to afford the different yours and activities. Great food. Some decrepit looking homes that are really out of place near the main streets and up near the cable car. Easy to walk everywhere. 15 min drive to the airport for about $50 NZD (can take 40 mins in peak holiday season).
Didn't like the fact there is only mini Marts and a smaller independent type supermarket in town that charge crazy prices and the fresh fruit and veg looked questionable. The town's big enough for a proper supermarket. The airport is very small with not alot of options to fill the time so I would suggest not getting to the airport too early.

This place was truely magical.
This place was truely magical. From another world and so different from where we live.
Luckily got a late season good amount of snow so was able to sneak in 2 days of skiing (first timers) The cherry blossoms were quite in bloom around town which was beautiful. The place is full of interesting and delicious food to indulge in as well as plenty of activities to entertain. Its never going to be your cheapest holiday but definitely well worth it and a place we can easily see oursleves coming back to.

The room was very well equipped and had everything you could need. Bed was comfortable and shower was amazing! We also used the gym during our stay and this was great! A bit far from central Queenstown but on the other hand, pretty handy to the wineries and Arrowtown, and also convenient being close to supermarkets and the Frankton shops.
Overall, a nice hotel and everything was pretty decent considering the staffing shortages in Queenstown at the moment. We enjoyed our stay.
Great view of Lake Wakatipu. Free parking on site and a close walk to the Queenstown town centre. The room was spacious and the beds were some of comfiest beds my wife and I have ever slept on in a hotel. Daily room service was also great.
Other helpful things included the spacious lounge for guests on the bottom floor plus laundry/dryer (coin operated) facilities on site. There's also a bus stop handily in front of the hotel.
Hotel is not in the centre of Queenstown but there is a walkway over the road that leads directly into queenstown which we quite liked. Rooms were beautiful, very comfortable and we had a lovely 4 night stay at the end of 2 very busy weeks touring North and South island.
The receptionists were friendly and made me feel very welcome when I arrived. The room is clean and tidy. The location of the hotel is great, not right in the centre of Queenstown, but a good walking distance.
