My wife and I would have loved to enjoy Zurich but we only used the airport for arrival and departure. We rented a car to enjoy Switzerland and I can tell you that the roads were nice and well documented. We also found the airport to be efficient and the staff very friendly.

Lufingen is a nice small village near Zurich Airport.
Lufingen is a nice small village near Zurich Airport. The surroundings villages can be easily reached on foot, with nice walking paths and views. It's a really good transit place if you're travelling via Zurich Airport, highly recommended if you like a quiet stay outside of city.

The area of Rumlang we were in is convenient to the airport. I enjoyed exploring the lovely walking and biking trails near our hotel and found a few geocaches along the way. My favorite spot was the tree-lined dirt lane that runs along the northeast side of the creek off of Klotenerstrasse. The area is also known for having its very own Golden Gate Bridge! We ate at McDonalds, adjacent to the Radisson, and shopped at the Aldi Suisse (across from hour hotel) for snacks and beer.

Worth the rates.
Worth the rates. Very clean. Sufficient amenities. Tram station right in front of hotel. Very attentive staff. Loan for swiss francs for parking. (Of course ,if only free parking would be included for foreign guests coming a long way). Loan for umbrellas on a rainy day. Hotel slippers and masks available. TV signal could be better if it did`t keep cut all the time.
