Very nice and quiet stay in the country but still close to Hofn. Friendly staff and that makes all the difference. Nice size room and good breakfast. Only stayed for one night but wish I could have stayed longer.

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Pluto. Communication and checking in were seamless. The kitchen and common area are big. The kitchen is stocked w/cooking amenities along with info on places to see/go/eat in Hofn. The bathroom is spacious. The room was more than enough space for my friend and I. The room and facility are very clean. Without hesitation, I would stay here again.

I loved the remoteness but was only a 15 minute drive to Hofn for shopping, restaurants, etc. We enjoyed the extreme natural beauty and spent a day kayakibng among the icebergs and hiking a glacier. Even though we had to travel an hour or so to the glacier hike, it was worth it. The ride itself was filled with spectacular scenery.

The waters and views of the glaciers viewed from a far are beautiful. Also some of the little food places reflect the cosiness of a working port. Quaint working port village. Worth a stop or basing yourself there to visit the surrounding geography.

Room okay for one night but unfortunately a little overpriced. The buffet style breakfast is very basic and offers little to none options for dietary needs.
The sound from adjacent rooms is quite audible due to the house's age and poor acoustics.
Nice views and surroundings though.

Luxus cabin, good beds, cozy interiør and well heated. Fantastic view to Brunnhorn ( Batman mountain) landscape. My best stay during this trip. Very helpful, warm and professionel host. Breakfast in the mainhouse was homemade and tasty.

We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in. The bedding was very nice and the kitchen perfectly stocked with dishes. The playground was fun. The office sells some camping supplies. There are not enough showers, only one for each gender. The kitchen/cooking area is bare bones. There are some nice tables inside. The staff was very helpful and kind.

If you want to really see Iceland stay on a farm. This one was great. Guests stay in an old farmhouse. The owners make themselves available to answer questions. There was a communal kitchen with a stove and refrigerator. Very helpful since we were traveling on a budget.

Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in the nearby villages is even more comfy. The town has a few great restaurants, a really wonderful little pool with hot tubs. Weather permitting, it has a great view on the Vestrahorn mountains + some nice shoreline walking paths.
