Our tasting menu experience, although expensive, was a really lovely two hours. The food in the other speciality restaurant was very good but the portions were tiny. The pool areas were really well kept. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for that bit of extra luxury we all crave.

The indoor pool was very convenient, and there were plenty of activities for children. We recently stayed at Marriott Salgados Palace Algarve and were impressed by every moment of our visit. The hotel not only meets the highest expectations – it exceeds them.
Our first impression was exceptional: we were warmly welcomed with champagne and fresh fruit – a truly thoughtful and gracious gesture. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. We didn’t just feel like guests – we felt truly valued.
The rooms have been completely renovated, featuring a modern design and extremely comfortable beds that made our rest truly enjoyable. Every detail was carefully considered.
Breakfast was also a highlight – not only generous, but also freshly prepared to order. It was the perfect way to start each morning: delicious, relaxed, and tailored to our preferences.
Our stay left us with warm memories. If you’re looking for top-level service, comfort, and a real holiday atmosphere – this hotel is absolutely worth your attention. We hope to return again soon.

The reasons why we always come back to São Miguel are the Human and Landscape factors.
We love the bungalows in the freshness of the pinewood forest, the proximity of incredible cliff beaches the restaurant and the care in all things.
On the other side of the balance, is the Team, young, intelligent and attentive.
A special thank to Mr Raj, whom we had the privilege to know, and to attend to His Yoga Class, in camp.
A mention to Mr Edson with His Bicycle library, in camp.

Liked everything about the place: comfy beds, location, very cosy and sunny. There is a dishwasher (although no dishwasher tablets), a washing machine and a dryer (no detergent unfortunately). The kitchen had all necessary utensils to cook your own meal.
We stayed in December, it was pretty warm and very sunny. It's a 15 minute walk to an amazing sandy beach , although it was too cold to swim in the sea.
Also there is an indoor swimming pool, which we liked a lot.

The 3 bedroom apartment was way bigger than initially anticipated. The staff at the reception were also very helpful and receptive of our requests. Considering we were a big group, I was skeptical whether two apartments would fit us all but they actually did comfortably. Would definitely visit again.

Beaches are great, people are friendly, weather was great but it has become really built up and busy and lost some of its local culture by catering for tourist. Too many hen and stag parties and catering for very British holiday makers who don’t want local charm or culture.
We travelled further afield and found so e lovely traditional places to see and eat.

The old town was very busy so you need to book to eat. Plenty of choice. Taxis easy to get and very reasonably priced. Went over to Marina 3 nights which is less busy but would still recommend you book. Music over there at weekends. Sports bar showing everything too. Didn’t see many children but schools had just gone back. People very friendly. Beach excellent.

A really lovely city, everyone was very friendly and the streets have quite a bit of character. It feels like a real lived in city but also caters a lot to tourists. We had a day trip to Tavira which was easy to navigate on the local trains.

We had a fantastic time in Portimão. The town offers the perfect blend of beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere. Praia da Rocha is stunning, with golden sands and breathtaking coastal views. The local people were friendly and welcoming, and there was plenty to see and do, from the marina and waterfront to nearby boat trips and coastal walks. The weather was excellent throughout our stay, making it an ideal destination for a relaxing holiday. We would highly recommend Portimão and would happily return in the future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The beach is a good 15 minutes walk away. Its reviewed as being 5 minutes away. I could run it in 5 minutes maybe if I brought trainers , but not in beach wear ie flip flops not a chance and carry sun creams, towels, and mats for beach beds as too hard to lay on beds plus water etc etc. The amount of beach bars and restaurants is limited on both nearby beaches. Really poor food outlets and service at times on both beaches. Beach beds really hard so we bought mats to lay on for 11 euros each. Julian's Restaurant a real gem and close by apartment.
The best eating places are not on the Marina and where they are most expensive. Try the back streets IL Trio (Italian), Julian's across from IL Trio and Alfonso's Steakhouse (all 3 located within 30 secs of each other. Staff really nice in all 3 food restaurants. Lizza's Cafe great for breakfast and take away rolls for beach food near Navigator Apartment and that's why all the golfers go there as very accommodating staff.

Beautiful town; clean and walkable. Great choice of restaurants. You need to get a ferry to the beach so you need to work to get there but it is totally worth it. Prices reflect the quality of food and service.

Lively beachside town.
Lively beachside town. The beaches and coastline along this stretch are beautiful. The boardwalk and the extended walk offer some incredible views and this stretch of coastline can also been seen from the water with many boat and kayak operators. There’s a huge selection of bars and restaurants to choose from and everything is within easy walking distance

Alvor is a really nice village, with lots of restaurants and bars and a nice walking area beside the ocean. There was also some public event with music while we were there, so it is not boring there. There are some really nice restaurants there. Also, Alvor Beach was the best beach we visited on the Algarve coast.

What is so fantastic, is the location...near the beach,with all the facilities required to make a stay comfortable. We ate in Japanese, Mexican and Italian restaurants and loved their food. The walk on the promenade is wide, and the whole area is clean and bright. People walking around picking up litter, but people very much aware of rubbish. The shops for food and goods are well stocked, easy to get around and everybody was helpful. Love Quarteira!!!

Aljezur is a beautiful and peaceful area, with an impressive coastline, wonderful beaches and a relaxed atmosphere. It is an excellent base for exploring the Costa Vicentina, although having a car is highly recommended, as many of the best beaches and places to visit are spread out across the region.
