Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially our greeter at the entrance. He was very helpful with all the necessary information we needed. Food at breakfast was very good. Our tasting menu experience, although expensive, was a really lovely two hours. The food in the other speciality restaurant was very good but the portions were tiny. The pool areas were really well kept. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for that bit of extra luxury we all crave.

The hotel is very well suited for families with children. We really liked the connecting rooms, which gave the kids their own space with direct access to the parents’ room. The indoor pool was very convenient, and there were plenty of activities for children. Our first impression was exceptional: we were warmly welcomed with champagne and fresh fruit – a truly thoughtful and gracious gesture. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. We didn’t just feel like guests – we felt truly valued. The rooms have been completely renovated, featuring a modern design and extremely comfortable beds that made our rest truly enjoyable. Every detail was carefully considered. Breakfast was also a highlight – not only generous, but also freshly prepared to order. It was the perfect way to start each morning: delicious, relaxed, and tailored to our preferences. Our stay left us with warm memories. If you’re looking for top-level service, comfort, and a real holiday atmosphere – this hotel is absolutely worth your attention. We hope to return again soon.

The reasons why we always come back to São Miguel are the Human and Landscape factors. We love the bungalows in the freshness of the pinewood forest, the proximity of incredible cliff beaches the restaurant and the care in all things. On the other side of the balance, is the Team, young, intelligent and attentive. A special thank to Mr Raj, whom we had the privilege to know, and to attend to His Yoga Class, in camp. A mention to Mr Edson with His Bicycle library, in camp. We will be back. Thanks.

Liked everything about the place: comfy beds, location, very cosy and sunny. There is a dishwasher (although no dishwasher tablets), a washing machine and a dryer (no detergent unfortunately). The kitchen had all necessary utensils to cook your own meal. We stayed in December, it was pretty warm and very sunny. It's a 15 minute walk to an amazing sandy beach , although it was too cold to swim in the sea. Also there is an indoor swimming pool, which we liked a lot.

The 3 bedroom apartment was way bigger than initially anticipated. The staff at the reception were also very helpful and receptive of our requests. Considering we were a big group, I was skeptical whether two apartments would fit us all but they actually did comfortably. Would definitely visit again.

Far too touristy, lacks any real character, and is packed with low-quality restaurants, hotels, and souvenir shops.We recommend staying just outside Albufeira if you prefer a quieter, more authentic atmosphere. The beaches outside the town are also nicer.

We've been to Lagos before but always find new things and...

We've been to Lagos before but always find new things and new ways of getting around and finding little treasures. This visit we met up with friends and so it was mostly eating and drinking with plenty of reminiscences. There is history in Lagos, the Marina area is very special and there are shops a-plenty. We found a lovely little fish leather shop down near the ancient city gate - handmade flip flops, so unique.

Fantastic resort, well appointed for proximity to airport (25min in a taxi). Stunning marina with a fabulous choice of bars snd restsurants. A haven for golfers, we don't play golf but had a go at the local crazy golf! The Whale, Akavit and The Matador were some of our favourite spots.

I love Portimao. The beach is the jewel of the town. Nearby there are many waterfront restaurants along the boardwalk. Tour companies offer a variety of cave visit, kayak, and dolphin spotting outings. The waterfront hotel is ideal and offers everything. The town also is home to a large fishery, where daily fishing operations are open for viewing. There are many restaurants for every budget, so vacationers of all income levels can feel welcome.

Aljezur is a beautiful and peaceful area, with an impressive coastline, wonderful beaches and a relaxed atmosphere. It is an excellent base for exploring the Costa Vicentina, although having a car is highly recommended, as many of the best beaches and places to visit are spread out across the region.

I visit Alvor 2-3 times a year for its laid back, relaxed and friendly village atmosphere. Beaches and boardwalk are amazing, never had a bad meal and the village vibe is so peaceful. Ubers are very cheap and I always use A22 transfers from Faro airport- they are 100% reliable.

This is a wonderful town with so many good bars and...

This is a wonderful town with so many good bars and restaurants you'll be spoilt for choice. It suits us because there are no night clubs and generally everything is quiet after 11pm. If you like a busier time come during the many festivals where there is live music on all over the city. Food and craft stalls line the street. There are no high rise concrete tower blocks. Everything is comfortable clean and traditional.

Lively beachside town.

Lively beachside town. The beaches and coastline along this stretch are beautiful. The boardwalk and the extended walk offer some incredible views and this stretch of coastline can also been seen from the water with many boat and kayak operators. There’s a huge selection of bars and restaurants to choose from and everything is within easy walking distance

The beach is stunning - powerful surf with non-stop rolling waves. Lovely sandy beach with shade and sunbeds available and amazing beach bars at the back with views of the beach, the estuary and the cliffs. The town is set back 3-4km from the sea, the Fishermen's Trail officially goes back and forth along less picturesque paths either side of the river. Alternatively, WHEN the tide is right you can ford the river crossing over directly to teh beach and either go back into town on the South side or proceed along the path.
