On this day trip, you’ll make the one-hour journey from Vienna to Bratislava, the two geographically closest capitals in Europe, linked by their shared heritage in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Following an unaccompanied bus ride to Bratislava, you'll have approximately 30 minutes of free time before meeting your guide for a walking tour through the historic city center. You’ll view key attractions including St Martin’s Cathedral, the Slovak National Theater, the Slovak Philharmonic and the main square, home to the Roland Fountain and the Old Town Hall.
After exploring on foot, you’ll head to a local restaurant for a two-course lunch. You’ll also visit a brewery where you’ll sample three craft beers, accompanied by a pretzel. You’ll end your adventure with free time to continue discovering the capital on your own before returning to Vienna by bus.
