On this guided walking tour, you’ll be able to explore Barcelona’s most essential modernist architecture, including major works by Antoni Gaudí, Ildefons Cerdà and Josep Maria Subirachs.
You’ll meet your guide in the heart of Barcelona before journeying to Casa Milà, where you’ll learn about how Gaudí gained inspiration from the Montserrat mountains and the legend of Sant Jordi. In Eixample, you’ll study buildings designed by urban planner Ildefons Cerdà, who placed a garden inside each of the district’s interior blocks.
Your tour will conclude at the Sagrada Família, where your guide will offer insights into Gaudí’s representation of the Old Testament. Here, you’ll discover the structure’s complex symbolism as well as the controversy surrounding Josep Maria Subirachs’ interesting interpretation.
