Why come to visit the museum?

In addition to the duty of memory, the Museum of the Great War presents the war of 14-18 through the objects and documents of the collection.

The museum is accessible to all ages and offers visiting tools and activities suitable for the whole family: children's area, game book, audioguides, children's area, workshops ...

At the origin of the museum, there is a man, Jean-Pierre Verney, passionate historian, who gathered for nearly 50 years objects and documents to tell the story of the First World War. In 2005, the Pays de Meaux bought this exceptional collection of more than 50 000 pieces and decided to build a museum to enhance its history!

Today, the collection has more than 70,000 objects
