This tour will take you to Patan and the Rani Ki Vav stepwell as well as Modhera and its Sun Temple.
In Patan, you'll see elaborate wooden homes and intricately carved Jain temples, such as Sahasralinga Talav and Khan Sarovar. You’ll stop at the Rani Ki Vav stepwell, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and marvel of aged engineering, built in the 11th-century. You'll learn about the stepwell’s use as a water resource and storage system, and its Maru-Gurjara architectural style and seven levels of stairs with over 500 sculptures located within.
At the Sun Temple at Modhera, you’ll learn about the Vedic gods and the importance of natural elements within the life cycle. As you stroll through the temple complex and kunda, you'll see how they are prime examples of Solanki period masonry, known as the golden age of Gujarat.
