On this private full-day tour, you'll uncover Lebonan's ancient history and explore its natural beauty. After a hotel pickup in Beirut, you'll travel to the town of Baalbek, formally known as Heliopolis in ancient Greek and Roman times. In Baalbek, you'll visit the Temple of Bacchus and the Temple of Jupiter, two of the largest and well-preserved Roman ruins in the world. You can walk the complex's ancient stairs around the temples' towering columns. At 30 metres, the columns of the Temple of Jupiter are thought to be the tallest of the classical world.
You'll then visit the Al Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve, which is the largest nature reserve in the Middle East. To round out the tour, you can sample wines at the Château Ksara Winery, which was founded in 1857 by Jesuit priests.
