This tour will allow you to visit one of the most spectacular Lord of the Rings movie filming locations via helicopter. Your 60-minute flight will begin by flying northwest over Kahurangi National Park and into Golden Bay. You'll land on a remote Mount Olympus area for an examination of the rock formations that the film used to portray the landscape of 'South of Rivendell'.
You'll recognize the area's pinnacle rocks – formed by weather erosion – from the scene where Saruman's crebain crows spotted the nine travelers, who in turn quickly hid from them.
