On this private, guided, three-hour tour, you’ll take a spice tour in Zanzibar and taste local spices and fruits. You’ll learn how Zanzibar came to be known as the 'Spice Island' after it became a leading global producer of spices in the 19th century. You’ll walk around the Kizimbani or Kidichi spice farm with your guide. Here, you’ll see exotic varieties of spices, fruits and vegetables. You’ll gain insights into the medicinal and other properties of these spices. You’ll get to pick, smell and taste spices like cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, vanilla and black pepper. You can also taste local fruits like rose apple and guava. Additionally, you can have lunch at the spice farm at your own expense.
