This guided tour will take you on a hike into the wilderness, with a focus on foraging for local food and learning how to create backcountry dishes. You’ll be led by a forager guide who will share their passion for foraging with you and teach you about Alaskan edibles – such as mushrooms, berries and wild greens. Later on, after finishing your foraging and hiking, you’ll take part in a backcountry-style cooking lesson at a campsite – using the ingredients you’ve foraged to make some tasty dishes.
