You’re close to everything central to Barranco. You’re staying above Augusto’s home so I felt very secure/safe. You get keys so you can come and go as you please. The place is spacious and has everything you need. I didn’t mind not having a kitchen—the fridge and microwave and water kettle are more than some other places. There was also a heater in each room which was appreciated as someone who runs cold and a hair dryer in the bathroom! The shower got hot quick. The breakfast was great. Augusto is a wonderful host, prompt to reply to messages and kind. He helped me with my heavy bag up and down the stairs. I will absolutely look to stay here again if I’m ever in Lima—and recommend it to folks coming. I stayed at a hotel in Miraflores when I first arrived and El Refugio was much better. Muchas gracias for a wonderful stay, Augusto!

Everything from the bathroom, kitchenette and bed was clean and really nice - great place to relax. Amazing value for money and in a great location to explore Miraflores, I felt extremely safe staying here.

The rooms are really comfortable and feel like hotel rooms not hostel rooms. The hostel was quiet at night and we had no issues with mosquitos. The breakfast is really generous and very nice. Its only a few minutes walk to the surfing area and close to shops restaurants. Highly recommend staying here!

Very clean, just about 700m from bus terminal and excellent restaurant on the roof. The room was quiet. Private bathroom had warm water, nice towels, and shampoo etc Bed was very comfortable. Small refrigerator. Spacious. Breakfast is included and great - coffee, juice, eggs, sausage and rolls, butter and jam. Dinner is available in the restaurant. We can recommend it.
