The highlight of my stay was the owner, Zuzana, and her wonderful team. Zuzana is an incredible host, meticulously attending to every detail from check-in to check-out. Her thoughtfulness shone through in the valuable recommendations she provided for restaurants, local attractions, and tours. She’s not only helpful but also genuinely lovely to interact with. I stayed in Room 2 for nine days, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with everything I needed. Each room comes with its own outdoor seating area (or a balcony if you're upstairs), complete with a convenient clothesline for drying beachwear—a small detail that made a big difference. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe in the area, and the beach is just a quick 1-2 minute walk away. The breakfast was delicious, featuring fresh fruit, juice, eggs, local bread, tea, coffee, and even local porridge. It was always a great way to start the day and have a nice conversation with the staff. A special shout-out to Barack, who, like the rest of the staff, greeted me with a warm smile every day. One particularly memorable gesture was when I burned my arm and Zuzana generously provided medication and cream, even coming to my aid late at night. She also offered to change up the breakfast menu to keep things interesting, though I was more than happy with the daily spread. Lastly, Zuzana arranged for my airport pick-up with a fantastic driver named Salim, which made my arrival smooth and stress-free. In short, I can’t recommend this place enough—it's a hidden gem in Nungwi. I wish all the best to the team.

This was our second stay at Boutique Villa Unaweza, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The entire property is beautifully designed and stylish, with every detail thoughtfully planned. The staff, from the restaurant team to the cleaning ladies, were all incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. One of the special touches we loved was the yoga classes, which are a perfect way to unwind, and the occasional live music nights in the restaurant, adding a delightful atmosphere to the evenings. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and designed for ultimate relaxation. The hotel is just a few steps from a stunning beach, ideal for peaceful morning walks. This time, we traveled with a rental car, and the secure parking made everything very convenient. The hotel itself feels incredibly safe, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. For instance, our flight was in the evening, and they kindly allowed us to keep our room a little longer, which was such a thoughtful gesture. This is without a doubt one of the best places to stay when visiting this beautiful island!

Charming and quiet boutique hotel with 2 pools. The hotel is well maintained and extremely clean. The rooms are nicely decorated and the bed is very comfortable. Great water pressure (which is not always the case in the island). Delicious breakfast (I loved the avocado toasts). Only 1 minute away from the beach with nice bars / restaurants around. Also a lot of delicious local restaurants in the village only 10 minutes away by walk. The staff is really friendly and welcoming and helpful. Quaint villa with wonderful staff and dog (Perro). Stefano and his staff were warm and very welcoming. Rooms are spacious and comfortable (beds a bit on firm side). Bathrooms clean and functional. AC and fan worked great. Location is ok. Road to Villa is unpaved and a bit rough. Takes ~ 10 min to walk to Royal Beach/My Blue resort (which is much better than Nungwi town beach). From there, you can walk south (depending on the tide) to Kendwa beach in ~25-30 min where you can rent lounge chairs/access to resort pools for a reasonable price ($8 USD per day).
