Chalet Ribi, casa de muntanya a Grindelwald

Offering garden views, Chalet Ribi is an accommodation situated in Grindelwald, 3.1 km from Grindelwald Terminal and 40 km from Giessbachfälle.

We came to Switzerland for our honeymoon and stayed at Chalet Ribi while we were in Grindelwald. Prior to arrival, the host was easy to talk with, responsive, and helpful. The space was clean, there was a separate bedroom, and the views from the balcony (onto the Metterberg peak, we think) were gorgeous. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. For example, I used the tea kettle and mugs every day. The water pressure in the bathroom was great and the water was hot. The bathroom floor was even somewhat heated and cozy. We came during the offseason, but Grindelwald was packed for some reason. We were pleasantly surprised that our building was quiet and peaceful. It felt isolated, in a good and safe way. The sauna on the balcony was incredible, especially after a long day of hiking. We loved the beautiful church bells, and on Sunday, they played for a full 15 minutes -- it was a magical sendoff! If you're looking for places to eat, please go to Hotel Alpenblick around the corner! We went there THREE TIMES during our stay, and it was cozy, delicious, and left out bodies feeling good. Get their soups, "Cocotte Alpenblick," and their warm chocolate tart. We also loved their seasonal menu -- they served a lot of local game. Around the area, we went hiking from the Pfingstegg gondola to Berghaus Bäregg, but the cablecar was not covered by the Jungfrau pass. First Mountain is nearby, and there are a lot of popular hikes up there -- we went to Bachalpsee Lakes -- but we LOVED the mountain carts and highly recommend. We also had an easy time taking the train and other cablecars to go hiking further away in other areas. Grindelwald was a good center, especially since we liked the town's personality better than Wengen's, Murren's, or Interlaken's. Overall, Chalet Ribi felt cozy and romantic and was perfect for us, both as an accommodation and as a center in Grindelwald.

We loved our stay here! Marianne was very warm, welcoming and friendly. She advised us on some local walks we could do as that's what we enjoyed doing. The property was clean and had all the ammenities we needed as we cooked our own dinners in the chalet. The beds were comfortable and the room very dark in the evening to aid with sleeping. No noises at all. This place is located very near to a bus stop that takes you all the way into Grindelwald.

The apartment was very clean, beautiful and had good facilities in kitchen. The location was great. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms had a nice view of the mountain. Would highly recommend and would like to get back as well.

The chalet was really perfect, with very high quality and modern finishing, yet the outlook of the traditional Swiss style is still maintained. The big size of the windows especially in the sitting and dinning hall is giving an amazing view to the mountain that you would want certainly to enjoy every moment. The kitchen was well equipped with what ever you want to cook. The location is few minutes walking to the centre, in addition the bus stop is almost in the front of that chalet. The owner is very kind and very supportive and easily reacheable for any support.I will highly recommend this property.

    Casa de fusta molt sòlida i amb molt espai. Habitacions enormes, cuina molt equipada. Molt net, roba de llit i tovalloles en abundància. Bon aparcament gratuït fora la casa, i de dia es pot deixar el cotxe gratuïtament al pàrquing de l’Hotel Derby (cal deixar-los la clau a recepció) davant mateix estació tren Grindelwald. Propietaris Xalet súper amables. Vistes magnífiques. Amb una terrasseta per ús propi al jardí.

    Ens ha agradat moltíssim tot: sobretot l'entorn on es troba ubicat el xalet. És un apartament molt bonic i acollidor, típic suís i això ens ha agradat molt. Els amfitrions són gent amable i s'han preocupat per nosaltres si necessitàvem res. El banc per contemplar el paisatge i la petita sortida per descansar són molt agradables.

    La recepcionista de l’hotel ens va atendre molt amablament i va resoldre tots els dubtes. L’habitació molt agradable, llits còmodes i s’hi estava molt tranquil. L’esmorzar molt bo. La piscina exterior funcionava a partir de les 15:00, molt agradable. Genial per relaxar-se, la temperatura molt agradable especialment desprès de les caminades a la muntanya. Amb unes vistes especteculars. Vam allotjar-nos a l’estiu. La meva filla 8 anys ha set feliç en aquest hotel. Les
