Absolutely everything, place is modern, furnished and supplied with greater attention to detail. Place is spotlessly clean has a great view and loved that we had the ability to to feed the Deer and Alpacas that belong to the property.

Manakau Lodge is situated beautifully between the ocean and the mountains. Janice was a wonderful and gracious host, helping me with dinner recommendations and reservations, offering to drive us there, showing us walking trails nearby and providing us with fresh eggs for breakfast. The lodge is just perfect. Clean, beautiful, and had all the perfect “touches”. The sunrise that morning was incredible.

Spacious, clean & comfortable house. Large well stocked kitchen that made it easy to prepare meals. The view was of both mountains & water. Location is great. Easy to walk both to Kaikoura & South Bay & other tracks. Our host was very responsive & kind. Should we ever find ourselves in Kaikoura again, we would definitely stay here again.
