What an indescribable stay at the Uros Utasa Lodge on Lake Titicaca. I can only give this lodge top marks because Raul gave us an unforgettable day. After he picked us up at the pier, we travelled through the reed belt on his boat. Even here he gave us an insight into what the reeds are used for. You could see that Raul is passionate about this area and enjoyed passing on his knowledge. After driving past so many huts, the surprise was all the greater! A paradise for a day! We enjoyed the afternoon on the deckchair and Raul and his wife also prepared dinner on request. Simply recommended!!!

The hosts - Emanuel and Maricela, the kids and the parrot Antonia 🙂, are the best possible hosts. Always smiling, helpful, paying attention to every small detail. Emanuel cooked for us and the food was fresh from their farm. He also organized all our tours in the jungle. The huts at the river are very cute, with terraces, bathrooms, comfortable beds from which you have a direct view to the river day and night. Every day the hosts were cleaning. Situated in Ollantaytambo, Vertical Sky Suites offers accommodation with seating area. An American breakfast is available daily at the property. We were a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens/teenagers), we booked 2 of the pendant domes. They picked us up in Ollantaytambo, and took us on a quad ride to their reception (the kids said quad ride was a blast!). We were welcomed with soft blanket and tea by the heater. We needed to have at least 1 adult in each pod; the boys were with my husband, and they had to wear harness to climb to their pod. The jacuzzi was amazing, and when we woke up in the morning - the view....You have to see it for yourself. Everyone should experience it at least once in a lifetime.

We stayed only one night, coming from Copacabana, but we would have loved to stay longer. Leonardo organised us a taxi from the port to the private pier and picked us up with his boat, although we arrived quite late. His wife Lina welcomed us with a nice dinner. The next day we rented their kayak to have a look around the Isles and relaxed on the Isle. The room had a huge and comfortable bed with a view over the lake, the shower was big and had warm water and they gave us hot water bottles in case we got cold during the night. They both do beautiful handicraft work. We would come again.

Set in Oxapampa, CHONTAQUI ECO-LODGE offers accommodation with a terrace. Located 1.1 km from Plaza de Armas Oxapampa. There is also a kitchen in some of the units equipped with a microwave. The rooms are beautiful! The views also beautiful! And the staff is super welcome . Really a wonderful experience
