As you fly into Abu Dhabi International Airport, it’s probably good to know that the vast array of streets with multiple names is best negotiated by landmarks rather than exact addresses. And you won’t be short of landmarks since this fast-growing metropolis is packed with tourist attractions.
The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is the 6th largest mosque in the world and is already open, nearing completion. Most buildings and public areas are on this grand scale, such as the 123 metre flagpole on Marina Island or the extensive Khalifa Park which, amongst other attractions, has its own train.
Along the aquamarine waters of the Persian Gulf lies the remarkable waterfront of Corniche, which offers a walkway along its entire 6 km. From here the modern Arabian skyline can be taken in and by night the scene is illuminated, creating an even more glorious spectacle.
However, shopping is really where it’s at in Abu Dhabi. Malls such as the Marina, Abu Dhabi and Al Wahda Malls provide a multitude of goods, endless boutique options and plentiful food halls. Abu Dhabi retains much of the traditional charm of the UAE, which is further enhanced by the presence of well-known cultural institutions. The city has a very open feel to it and is very walkable, with convenient public transport options available. It is ideal for anyone that wants to spend their time exploring the city. Louvre Abu Dhabi should be at the top of any list, alongside places such as Qasr Al Watan and Qasr Al Hosn. My review is going to be different because I used to live in Abu Dhabi for 4.5 years. But if you are interested in visiting the UAE, I totally recommend allocating some time for Abu Dhabi. One word to describe.. Beautiful .. If you stay in Electra stree you have multiple option for resturant around. We ate in Ibrahim resturant lovely Pakistani food . We eat in Puso pinoy authentic pinoy food loved the bullalo there. Places and mall like abudhabi mall and beaches are just in the range of 3 to 5 km. You can even walk since it's really well designed for walk. 1. You can do island hopping 2. Go for Grand mosque 3. Go for malls. 4. On the cornice beach you can do cycling 5. Heritage village 6.
