I first visited Dubai in 1986, I then worked in Dubai from 2009 to 2016, so I found massive changes to Dubai since 2016, not all for the good. The road traffic is now appalling at rush hours especially, although Dubai now seems to have a 24 hour rush hour! There appears more pollution in the air. But everyone is still very polite and friendly and best of all everywhere is still kept immaculately clean. Dubai is great for indoor activities and malls. In the summer heat, you practically don't have other options. You can sped time at the beach but it is still too hot. Super destination to visit though Ticket are expensive for all attractions, one can find several activities for kids of all ages. Food is available in all ranges and all cuisines easy to find budget friendly hotels and shopping though the low end areas can be congested, noisy and dirty. Malls are excellent very clean and very friendly toilets are super clean and maintained. Before visiting must do a research on which attractions are open on the official website otherwise you may end up purchasing expensive tickets only to find out the attractions are closed for the season. Dubai vision is very impressive and more impressive is the execution of that vision, salute to Dubai’s prime minister. Most places are well connected with public transport however taxi are definitely an option due to very affordable taxi fares. One of the key feature of Dubai is the safety, even in the middle of the night or an extremely crowded area one can ensure you at your property will be safe will be safe. The moment we entered the room, we smelled something unusual-a scent of an old room; it was not a refreshing smell. We informed the reception, and later they brought a humidifier. The curtains need to be cleaned; you can see the dust as it rolled from one side to the other. We had a short 3 days in Dubai and this was long enough.
We had a short 3 days in Dubai and this was long enough. We went for a dinner tour on a yacht and this was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We also booked a tour to the desert to ride camels, 4x4 sand dune driving and dune surfing. This was also extremely good value for money and I highly recommend.Guest review byJenni RNew Zealand

WiFi works perfect even on the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day. La mer is a newly built area and everything is brand new there. You can take taxi 7 min or walk around 20-30 minutes to the best Dubai beach JBR. You can walk in the evening around Dubai Marina, subway station DMCC 10 min by walk. There is very nice pool like beach club in the building. We like balcony and bathroom with great view, good bed. Very friendly manager Arshid has accommodated us in the night.
