Please be aware that August is definitely not the ideal time for an active holiday here. It is simply too hot for daytime outdoor activities, many local shops are closed, and several major attractions are shut down for the summer. However, there is still plenty to see and do indoors and late in the evening. All the shopping malls are absolutely fascinating, each beautiful in its own unique way. For evening strolls, both JBR The Walk and the Dubai Marina are incredibly beautiful and highly recommended. Another absolute highlight was the stunning fountain show at the Burj Khalifa. For getting around, using public transport and local apps is very easy: taxis can be booked effortlessly via the Careem app, and the Dubai Tram works absolutely perfectly.

Overall, our stay was excellent.
Overall, our stay was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotels, food, malls, and shopping, and had a wonderful experience throughout our visit.
However, our experience during the return journey was quite disappointing. We were unable to submit our tax claim for our purchases because there was no staff available at the counter and the tax refund machine was also not working. Instead, there was a notice directing us to complete the process online.
When we submitted the claim online, we were informed that the purchases still needed to be physically validated by an agent at the counter. Unfortunately, we were already crossing the border and there was no way for us to complete this validation at that point.
We contacted customer support for assistance, but were advised that we would need to travel back to the border or to Dubai Airport to have the purchases validated. This was certainly not what we expected, especially after following the instructions provided at the counter.
While we had a very positive overall experience, this final experience was frustrating and disappointing. We hope the process can be improved in the future to make it easier and more convenient for visitors to complete their tax refund claims, particularly when the designated counter or machine is not operational.

It has all what you need to enjoy good vacation which include amazing hotels for different rage of budgets, varieties in culanary scene, trendy vibe along with traditional cultural aspect of the country . It gives you wholesome experience. Definately recommend visit to explore Dubai and beyond to emerece in culture which is different then you may have believed or living. Best time to come is Oct-Mar when weather is wonderful to enjoy outdoors .

The location was fantastic, nice and close to the marina and close to cafes, restaurants. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to the major malls and the beach/train station so easy to get places without too much hassle. The rooms were a great size and beds were very comfortable. The staff were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. We only had two nights but would have like to have stayed longer. The pool and rec area looked fantastic! Would stay again if travelling to Dubai.

Best feature of this hotel is the super staff. Special thank you to Moustafa at reception who kindly arranged an early check in and Abbas and his housekeeping team who did a great job looking after the room. Hotel facilities are good and it is a 10 minute walk (including waiting for the pedestrian crossing) to Nakheel Mall. Short taxi ride to Dubai Marina, Mall of the Emirates etc. Room was nice and spotless with a big, comfy bed.

Stayed at Rove Dubai Downtown for a work trip and loved it. The location is perfect, close to Dubai Mall and right in the Marina. The swimming pool with a view on Burj is a highlight, and the rooms are super comfy. Lots of great coworking and chill spaces throughout the hotel. Plus, the staff were friendly and on point – would definitely stay again!
