The hotel is modern with beautiful views of the city and its surroundings, it is definitely worth taking rooms on the upper floors. Breakfast, although not cheap, is on the 15th floor of the building with an excellent panoramic view of the city.
Located next to the train station and, considering the size of Salzburg, it is easy to get everywhere on foot, public transport is also available nearby.
Our room had a great, modern ventilation system that worked perfectly and overall there was a great climate, which served for an excellent sleep!

Further your education about this musical prodigy at his actual birthplace, Mozarts Geburtshaus. The city is the namesake of the Salzach River which runs through it, and alongside this beautiful river lays the Schloss Mirabell, one of the many impressive castles within the city limits. Schloss Mirabell and Hellbrunn with their picturesque gardens, beautiful galleries and impressive halls make the ideal spot for a picnic during summer.

We had 6 nights,, and last year only 3 so now we have had a good dose of Salzburg, we think every second or third year for us could suffice. There is something very special here, from the friendly people, the greenery, the coffee and bakeries and a favourite, Mozarts Caffe for cake. We averaged over 20,000 steps a day,, sometimes 30,000 and it came easy as you just want to explore more so grab comfy shoes and set off early on your planned day or simply go with the flow as we sometimes did.

We both think Salzburg is a wonderful city and would rate it as one of our most comfortable cities to visit and we will again. We have stayed now in three hotels over our visits to this stunning city and for those that think a day is enough, is a massive discount on what the city has to offer. Walking, sightseeing, wonderful coffee and bakeries. Get out early in the Morning as the warm weather brings about plenty of sightseers, the mornings are much more relaxed. Do visit the DOM for the afternoon performance,, it is the best 10 Euro Spent for those that love music.

Salzburg is a nice, modern city, and I felt safe during our short stay. We had just one day to explore, so we purchased a 24-hour pass, which turned out to be worth it. We used it to visit Mozart's birthplace, Hohensalzburg Fortress, and for public transportation.

It was our third time in this lovely city, however the crowds of tourists were everywhere, with many tour buses. Best to visit in the off-season to best appreciate the history, architecture and music history of this very special city.

A beautiful town and the people are amazing.
Of course, a famous place because of the Sound of music movie and the residence of Mozart.
There was a staff at the OBB lounge and she was extremely helpful.

Clearly a tourist hotspot so busy at most times and sometimes too crowded. We enjoyed the town, did the city tour and the complete Castle visit. In our opinion the Mozart connection is overplayed but that depends on your point of view. Cafe bars a delight, restaurants reasonable, public transport far better than the UK.

This hotel was in an excellent location, very close to the Mirabell palace and gardens. Easy walk into the old town but also lots of transport options close by. Supermarket is near and on Thursday mornings a large Farmers’ Market takes place around the church just outside the hotel! Also recommend the Salzburg card if you intend to do the Untersbergbahn GmbH (mountain cable car). The card includes public transport so it pays for itself with that one attraction. Everything else is a bonus. Plus you can often skip ticket lines.
Really really good location for walking around the Old Town in Salzburg. The hotel has free tea and coffee services and spaces to sit outside. Breakfast is big and lots to choose from. Theres also a locker room to leave your case if you need to, takes 1 euro coins. Staff were really nice and they have maps of the city if you need them.
The view was beautiful, despite the rain, the room was very comfortable and airy, and the breakfast was excellent. The service at the reception and restaurant (during dinner) was also excellent and friendly. The hotel is close enough to the city centre and is a perfect location for a visit to Salzburg.
It's a beautiful and peaceful location with easy access to the old town of Salzburg. It is a hotel with alot of personality since it's a renovated castle
