I loved the decor in the rooms. The tea and coffee selection was lovely. Location was great. I loved the retro look of the hotel. Everything was very clean and the cantina was a great touch. Would definitely recommend staying there.

I had a spacious and cheerful room complete with everything I needed. The location is great: across the road from the waterfront and a short walk to shops and restaurants.

An awesome flat walk from caravan park into the bay and back which takes about an hour. I walked each morning and enjoyed the walk.
Great beaches, particularly Malua Bay beach.
Crumb cafe is a must.

I loved that in Batemans Bay, everything was close by.
I loved that in Batemans Bay, everything was close by. It was really easy and lovely to walk through the small town. It's a strategic spot that makes it easy to get to Surf Beach and Denhams Beach—just a 15-minute drive away, and even up to 7 Mile Beach. The people are super nice and friendly. The only thing that caught us by surprise was that most restaurants close pretty early, around 7 to 8:30 pm.

Batemans Bay was a perfect stop for our two night stay on our trip between Sydney and Canberra. We enjoyed the fish and chips at The Boathouse and had a delicious lunch at Waters Edge restaurant overlooking the river., both of which we could easily walk to on the waterfront walkway. We drove around and saw the pretty beaches and otherwise relaxed on our balcony at The Esplanade motel taking in the beautiful view.

A must is lunch from The Boatshed.
A must is lunch from The Boatshed. Fish & chips are the best! Plenty of areas to sit in the shade. Fabulous ice creams! A cruise on the Clyde River is a must. Dinner at the Soldiers Club was excellent and good value.

Batemans bay isn’t as nice as it is pictured and written about.
It’s busy and overcrowded more like a small city than a beachside town.
We didn’t love it but we do prefer quieter places so that’s our preference.
Not the place for us.

Overall good but not clean enough and it’s high time that you consider that a bathroom for a spacious 2 bedroom apartment can’t be this small and dirty .
And also it’s time to change the couch fabrics.

I have stayed there before as a stopover on my way further south and for me it fully meets my needs - cheap and cheerful. The cabins are clean and comfortable and the people that work there are friendly and obliging.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was very spacious, tidy and clean.
The location was excellent, close to shops, cafes and club.
I have no hesitation in recommending Batemans Bay Lodge.
