My husband and I had a fantastic stay at this modern cottage in Bicheno! We stayed in the Pear cottage. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the attention to detail. The cottage is impeccably clean and stylishly furnished, making it a cozy and inviting space. The heating was excellent, which was a blessing during the chilly evenings. The cottage also smells amazing! The location is perfect—close to all the local sights and conveniences. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras provided, such as fresh milk, fizzy water, and a lovely bottle of rose. The bathroom is modern and well-equipped, complete with a heated towel rack and luxurious toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and hand cream. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the appliances we needed, including a coffee machine. These small luxuries made our stay very comfortable and unique. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a charming and well-appointed getaway in Bicheno. We will definitely be back! Best place we've stayed in Tassie!

Such a beautiful place to stay.

Such a beautiful place to stay. The blowhole was fantastic, and the sea views spectacular. The little village was charming and the locals were so friendly and helpful. The Lobster Shack is a must go. I enjoyed a bubbly while waiting for my order. Gorgeous views. Would definitely come and stay again - for much longer than last time.

Unfortunately other travellers had advised to go to the lobster shack for a meal which we did but we found this quite pricey and was just loaded with mainly chips. The view from the viewing point at whalers lookout was spectacular

When we arrived the reception was closed, however everything was very well organized. It was no problem doing the check-in ourselves. The room did not originally include breakfast so we had asked for that. This was solved by putting a great breakfast tray in the refrigerator! Regarding the surroundings the Bicheno blowhole is only a few minutes walk from the hotel area, likewise is the Bicheno center in the other direction.

Bicheno is a lovely little town close to Coles Bay for taking day cruises. The apartment was nicely styled, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was lovely to have the heater on and the place nice and warm when we arrived. The welcome letter and chocolates were a nice touch. It was great to have a washing machine and clothesline available as we were travelling for a few weeks.

Great location - walking distance to everything in Bicheno. Comfortable size for our family of 4 - like a home away from home. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean with good quality toiletries supplied. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. We also loved having the washer and dryer to get ontop of our washing after travelling for a bit!

We booked a family trip and intended to drive a long trip from Hobart. My husband ended up sick the morning before checkin. I contacted the property and asked for consideration of the circumstances and seek a partial refund. No response from them after I contacted the property a couple times and detailed the circumstances. Very disappointing indeed!

Up the Back is a very nice vacation home perched high overlooking the ocean in Bicheno. It was clean and very quiet with enough room to spread out and enjoy the fabulous view. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted and more. We decided to have takeaway from a good restaurant in town (Food and Brew) to enjoy the property and the view.

The location was amazing, loved the beach access. Also loved the layout of the apartments , after the penguin show was finished we spotted a lot more wildlife on our own including wombats possums pademelons and wallabies. Also heard Tasmanian devil's screeching nearby. This made the stay magical for us.

Location was excellent. Across the road from the supermarket, and 2 minute walk to the bottle shop. Located in the centre of Bicheno, close to all amenities. There is a space with a hose where you can wash your dusty car down inside the caravan park . it wa quiet and well run.

The cute cabin had amazing views of sheep and the ocean. The best part was the location to the beach where it’s just a stroll down to see the penguins! We are big animal people and this was by far the highlight of our trip. It is also very close to the main part of Bicheno!
