Very clean and comfortable. Hugh shower. Nice and helpful receptionist. It is not in the center of town but the train station is 5 minutes walk away, the ride to town center is 50 cent and takes 10 minutes so you don't have to get there with your car and pay for parking. Free parking on site and lots of dining options around

FAQs about hotels in Brisbane

Sun-drenched & Leafy

At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laid-back Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s artsy South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just across the river is the towering skyline of Brisbane's central business district, the location of many hotels in central Brisbane.

Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. There are more shopping centers all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.

This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south, you can hug one of the lovable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.

Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks, Wickham Park, contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the northeast, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district.

Booking.com has plenty of downtown hotels, and other accommodations near Brisbane Airport in a northeastern coastal suburb.

What Guests Said About Brisbane:

Brisbane river is beautiful by day and also by night.

Brisbane river is beautiful by day and also by night. Stop off at brewery for lunch and a drink then get back on. Fifty cent fares in Brisbane is also another plus which can save you money with all the ferry rides. If you love shopping then Queen Street was good. The museum and cultural and convention centers are good if you are into doing this. We ate at Vici on Wednesday as they have all you can eat past for $40 per person with a drink so that was amazing value and food was delicious. We also had a nice meal at MEBAMI in Southbank. Great Pho and Ba-Mi rolls, very affordable. Another place we ate at was Tai Tai. The food there was very expensive (we had the $68 banquet pp) which was over priced and food was minimal and not nice at all. There were six of us and we had 3 mains x 2 dishes of each and was not enough food for 5 men + 1 Woman. Chicken was dry, prawn dish in a white gluggy sauce mix and I think only 5 prawns in the dish meaning 1 prawn per person (if you were luck you had 2), and a beef in black pepper sauce. The fried rice was tasty but consisted of frozen vegies ( peas, corn and carrots) Very expensive and not tasty at all.

An enjoyable city.

An enjoyable city. It has lots of interesting things to do, such as stroll through the Botanic Gardens, visit art galleries, and great shopping, etc. Walk through Southbank, the gardens and beach area are fantastic for families. Many places to eat, which are varied and excellent. Brisbane is easy to get around with cheap and accessible public transport, or to enjoy on foot. We can't wait to come back!

I would not take my family to Brisbane I go for business but would not go for a holiday The place is dirty and cluttered and has homeless people sleeping in the middle of walkways in the middle of the day yuk! We have toured large parts of Queensland The theme parks, the Daintree and hinterland all the way to the Cape and enjoyed every day spent there, but as for Brisbane no thank you

All things considered, climate, convenience, attractions etc, likely Australia’s best city. But best let someone else do the driving as being built around a very serpentine river, it can be a horribly confusing place to drive 😬

Brisbane is a great stop over spot between flights, lots of good eateries and handy to air-port places to stay, the weather is always a bit too warm in summer for me. I always fly into Brisbane from my country home town when going overseas. Friendly taxi drivers and people are generally helpful. Air-port staff are always great with people like me who ask basic questions.

Brisbane is a great city with heaps to do - however if you are used to bigger more iconic cities - then you'll maybe struggle finding the "special-ness" about Brisbane! People are very friendly - compared to the residents of Paris (who are the rudest most awful people on Earth!) , awesome weather and not too fast or energetic - good balance

Lucid apartments are in an ideal location for visiting Brisbane. There are many cafes and restaurants near. It was ideal: just across the road from Southbank Cultural Centre (Museum, Library, Art Galleries) . It's also a quick walk across the bridge to Queen Street and the city centre. We rented two apartments to accommodate the whole family, both had lovely views and balconies. The two bedroom one was shabby, the upholstery on the settee was very grubby. The one bedroom apartment was spacious, well maintained and very comfortable.

The pool area was fantastic. The location was great. 5 minute walk to free ferry. Quiet spot but close to city. Parking was also cheaper than cbd apartments. We had a one bedroom unit at the back of the complex that overlooked the pool. The apartment was spacious with a large balcony. We booked this apartment because of the affordable price compared to the city. It was a quick walk to the river to view the fireworks display.

Location and views exceptional, looking up the Brisbane River with South Bank on the left and the CBD on the right, the night view was one to remember, jetty for ferry across the road and a 5 mimute walk to Southbank, Brisbane. 2 bedroom unit was a good size, having option for secure parking was great, pool area nice but didn't use as it was winter. A comfortable and modern hotel in the middle of Brisbane city. The views were superb. The bed was comfy. The room felt clean and comfortable and had nearly all amenities you would need. I booked a corner room which had an incredible view over Southbank and the river, which was even more beautiful as the sun went down and the city lights came on.

This is a great hotel - we loved the location (walkable to the GABBA, close to a couple of pubs and shops, walkable to the Botanical Gardens, CBD, Southbank area etc), the rooms were great with large balconies, the serve yourself breakfast was really good value ($15), but the best thing was the really happy and friendly staff!!
