The motel is very very good, the grounds and the house are...
The motel is very very good, the grounds and the house are spectacular , the little village is very pleasant and worth a look around at the antique shops etc. the sunsets and sunrises at the location can be spectacular. Unfortunately the cafe at the motel is not open during the week, but there are good options within a couple of kilometres.Guest review byMalcolm - Review score
A beautiful historic convent.
A beautiful historic convent. I would say the majority of their business would come from weddings as the setting is so beautiful. It would be a perfect place to have corporate conferences with large amounts of staff. The room was comfortable and the surrounding gardens and views were beautiful. We stayed for two nights. While we weren't expect our room to be serviced we would have hoped that the tea, coffee. milk and etc would have been topped up. Milk was obtained from reception but we didn't feel we should've had to do this. Also while the room was air conditioned. a second blanket would have been appreciated. We stayed at Woodlands, an historic property 10 minutes drive from Marburg. Loved the beautiful grounds & pool surrounded by great rural views. Enjoyed learning of the property’s interesting history & dining at the new Sugarmill restaurant in the mansion. Charming exceptionally well kept property steeped in history on a magnificent outlook of the valleys. Restaurant food was a standout. Rooms are sizey and comfortable although there are no views or balconies. TV could be better and needs internet channels.Guest review bygoodchildAustralia
