The room we got has the living room and kitchen with washer and dryer .... it is like in a home. For long term stay, this is perfect. Cole's Grocery is 8 minutes walk. There is small one too just at the entrance to the hotel. And, there are several eateries around.

Zagame’s House is an absolutely wonderful place to call your home away from home while in Melbourne. You will be near the countless restaurants along Lygon Street while being just a few minutes away from all key landmarks in the city. The facility has a sleek and modern finish which is kept immaculately clean and organized. The amenities are also wonderful and its in-house products are top quality. It also has a delectably sumptuous and diverse breakfast menu with large portion sizes. Its amazing staff are professional, respectful and friendly, most especially the amazing Mohi who was able to make necessary arrangements to address my emerging travel concerns (early check-in, early breakfast, etc.). Definitely, highly recommended.

FAQs about hotels in Melbourne

Buzzy Jewel of Aussie Rules

A thoroughly liveable city, Melbourne has a buzzy vibe and an Aussie sense of fun. There’s always something going on, and one of its many festivals is Moomba – Australia’s largest free arts festival. Well worth a visit are the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Aquarium, where you can walk through a clear tunnel as sharks swim over your head.

The city’s most recognizable landmark is Flinders Street Station, whose yellow and green façade matches the color of the historic Melbourne trams that still run around the world’s longest tram network. Keep an eye out for the street art as you travel.

Shopping in Melbourne is fantastic. Queen Victoria Market is the largest open-air market south of the Equator, while the La Trobe Street shopping center has over 300 stores. For food, don’t miss Little Italy - the Carlton area.

South of the Yarra River is St Kilda, home to the best beach and Albert Park, where the F1 Australian Grand Prix is held. However, this isn't the city’s only sports heritage. It’s also the home of Aussie Rules soccer and the MCG, a must-see for cricket fans.

Booking.com has a range of Melbourne accommodations from hotels to hostels and motels, some near Melbourne Airport.

Fabulous choice of restaurants and would recommend a visits to Chinatown and the Vic market The Theatre district has all the newest plays and musicals and the Gallery and concert Hall is also a must. Finally the Royal Botanic Garden’s is truly magical and best of all is free.

Fitzroy is still the heart of anarchy/creativity.

Fitzroy is still the heart of anarchy/creativity. Melbourne/Naarm design in fashion or interiors including eating places usually never fails to impress. One is spoilt for choice for things to do. Times have become expensive though, but Naarm is usually invested in quality of goods/food/drinks. The public transport was good and Uber is good.

Melbourne has a great tram network and are free to use throughout the CBD. At the time of and for the duration of my stay in Melbourne all public transport was free to use even outside of the city and this made it great to use and get around a whole lot more. Fantastsic coffee, cafes, bars, food, restaurants, and a plethora of interesting sights, people and characters to be entertained by. The four seasons in one day can be a very true representation of what you may get during your stay so it helps to be prepared for any situation, and have good comfortable footwear always. Don't be afraid to get out there and walk around and explore.. you never know what treasure or delight you may stumble upon!

We loved the ease of using the trams.

We loved the ease of using the trams. The variety of shopping is great. We did the open bus tour of the botanical gardens which we would highly recommend. We didn’t like people, (not only young ones) walking using there mobile phones. My husband uses a walking stick and the number of people that walked into him whilst on there phones was incredible. We could not believe all the people that crossed the roads when they had a red light.

The hotel is very nicely designed, bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel tv in the room also had free movies available without the need for streaming platforms. Location was ok- 14 minute walk from Skybus terminal in the city that connects travellers to Melbourne airport. Something to note: the hotel is on the outskirts of the central busy CBD area (approx 30-40min walk or 15 Min uber).

The location is highly convenient, with easy access to trams and Southern Cross Station. The views of Melbourne's CBD and the Yarra River are spectacular. The apartments are spacious, accommodating four adults comfortably, with comfortable beds and pillows. I highly recommend this accommodation and will certainly consider booking again on my next visit to Melbourne.

The hotel is located quite centrally within Melbourne's CBD, which is quite convenient. Flagstaff station (trams, trains, busses) is just across from the hotel. Moreover, the hotel's tram stop is within the city's "Free Tram Zone", which allows you to get to most places of interest within the city centre quickly and at no extra cost.

Location is amazing to Melbourne’s CBD, public transport & Southbank. Their quick resolve to make good on our booking when they first informed us the hotel was at capacity and our bedding configuration wasn’t available. After a few minutes we miraculously had the room we had booked. Beds and pillows were comfy.
