South of the Yarra River is St Kilda, home to the best beach and Albert Park, where the F1 Australian Grand Prix is held. However, this isn't the city’s only sports heritage. It’s also the home of Aussie Rules soccer and the MCG, a must-see for cricket fans.

So many restaurants and cafes to choose from.
So many restaurants and cafes to choose from. And easy to get there on the free tram or just walk. Great pizza Romanello (Queen Victoria markets) or Il Mercato (Collins street). Great vegan jaffles at Union Kiosk on Howely Place. Walking around Melbourne CBD will give you an experience on art/graffiti everywhere, little laneways, underground pubs and underground food courts. Lots of shopping, DFO at Spencer Street and all the big names in the heart of the CBD. Lots of comedy, free at the Charles Dickens Tavern or $15 cheap Tuesday comedy at Comedy Republic.

Melbourne was a bit dirty to be honest.
Melbourne was a bit dirty to be honest. I thought the food in the city could have been better - too much Asian food and not enough Italian and Greek food in the city. Transport was amazing and so convenient and cheap. Rail and tram staff were really helpful.

Huge changes evident in Melbourne, although we are local/rural, a lot of the city was unrecognisable to us, mostly a good vibe though, huge volume of eating options, didnt see any anti social behaviour, have travelled extensively lately, cant think of anywhere else that has the variation and options for dining etc.

There was a great 'vibe' in the city - with so much to see, and do. Great coffee and wonderful food, and lots of entertainment offerings. It is a great city to walk around, and fabulous on and off tram in the centre of the city, which we loved.

For my first visit I really should have stayed longer.
For my first visit I really should have stayed longer. There is so much to do in this city and you really need plenty of time to do it in. The trams make travelling really easy. I used Didi while here too for further activities. The city is lovely, bustling and busy. The coffee is amazing and the cakes are heavenly. The coffee is definitely better in Melbourne! The older buildings are beautiful. Give yourself plenty of time to explore and sit to soak it all in.

Trams are a wonderful means of transportation, free within the city area and otherwise reasonably priced.
Wide variety of cuisine to choose from around the city.
The Art Centre and The Shrine of Remembrance were very interesting and the Melbourne museum -Ancient Rome Exhibition was fantastic.

Conveniently located in student housing district of Melbourne CBD, very close to examination centres and universities. Also walking from most attractions around the CBD and many cafes and restaurants.
Tram and rail transport within a short walk.
Bed was clean, there was a washing machine available.
As the apartments have restricted, card only access, there is added security and the apartments generally seem quiet most of the time.

From the start you are greeted with friendly receptionist staff who are helpful and polite. The building is well kept and the rooms are spacious. Although the hotel doesn’t do breakfast, the recommended restaurant is second to none.
The building is also located in the CBD of Melbourne with lots of public transport available to get around the city.

Despite that I thought I was booking the CBD apartments and arriving at the Docklands instead was a bit of a surprise, we really enjoyed the location. It was quiet and there was a tram stop right outside making travel around Melbourne very easy. The room was large, clean and well equipped.

It’s near the tram station which is included in the free tram zone, so traveling to the CBD and to Melbourne Park is easy.
Also the District Docklands is across the hotel where you can find restaurants and shops.
