Great town - loved the blue lake and Umpherston.
Great town - loved the blue lake and Umpherston. Much to see. Gambier stone historic buildings throughout the town are beautiful. Picturesque natural sights. Surprised that the cave garden was in the centre of town. A pretty place. Best Bahn Mi for lunch. Stayed only one night, could have stayed a couple more.

Mount Gambier is a great town if you have a car or reliable...
Mount Gambier is a great town if you have a car or reliable transport. There are many incredible free activities and Geological sites. Various volcanic sites, Geological sites, Sinkholes, Clear water snorkel sites and Caves litter the surrounding areas. Mount Gambier doesn’t have many museums or activities, but has a vibrant Main Street. The visitor information centre has the best info on everything. Make sure to ask about snorkelling at ewens ponds and visiting Englebrecht cave!

I came to Mount Gambier to walk around the lake.
I came to Mount Gambier to walk around the lake. I also discovered the
Riddoch Arts & Cultural Centre who has daily screening of the cultural significance of Mount Gambier as well as the geological history. Well worth the hour it took, and has some great exhibitions too. Tax drivers and taxi services, Vears Taxis, are superb. They arrive superfast when you book them and all drivers are professional and knowledgeable. All the lakes are worth visiting. If you are visiting Mount Gambier only a 4 day stay is perfect.

Mt Gambier's weather was lovely, probably the first time we have been back, and it wasn't overcast or raining.
The commercial hotel meals were delicious.
The city looked lovely and clean.Mt Gambier has lots to offer the travelers who visit there.

We enjoyed Mt Gambier, plenty to see and do in the surrounding districts , a drive to Port Mac donnell for lunch at Salt cafe was very good and purchased a cray from the fresh seafood place, delicious..

Convenient location in the centre of town with an easy walk to restaurants, pubs and shops.
The apartment was well planned, well equipped and clean.
A perfect base for your stay in Mount Gambier.
The photo is the front apartment (apartment 4) and the others are built on what would have been the yard of the old house.
There in only one parking spot for each apartment but there is plenty of unrestricted one street parking out the front.

This hotel truly exceeded our expectations. A beautiful old building lovingly maintained in the heart of Mount Gambier. Superb value for the comfort, cleanliness, size and stylings of the rooms. Great staff and food too. We have already recommended to many friends and family!
