I highly recommend people to visit Myrtleford. What a gem!
I highly recommend people to visit Myrtleford. What a gem! It is small but such a beautiful village so nice to relax and enjoy coffee at the cafe and walk around and enjoy the softest lawn on the nature strips in town!!! I really enjoyed a bit of shopping too at local opshop which only took cash and also several local speciality shops. You do not need long but maybe 1 -2 nights are enough but definitely worth a stop!

As we made our way to Myrtleford we stopped a 3 wineries and a cheese factory. Go to the smaller wineries. They don't charge to do wine tasting. The big ones do $10 & it does not come off your bill.
Gorgeous country town with wide streets & large trees. Mountain / hill views. Great assortment of restaurants.

I may be a liitle biased because Myrtleford is my home town. I believe it is a beautiful spot that has progessed into a beautifully kept and most welcoming town since I lived there 34 years ago.
I ate a mouth watering open steak sandwich at Alpine Gate Cafe;
Delicious Warm Lamb Salad at Cafe Fez; A huge Chicken Salad at Cafe Chulo. So glad I did a lot of walking because I probably would have put on 2 kilos eating all that food. I shopped at Coles which had most of things I wanted and is open 7 days a week. The only gripe I have is that they definately need more coaches on a Sunday to catch the connecting train in Wangaratta. I stayed 1 extra night for that reason, but was glad I did for relaxation purposes. I'll definately be back!!

A truly lovely town situated at the base of the alpine region, great scenery year road, easy central location for touring, fantastic bike trails to surrounding destinations, close to Mt Buffalo for hiking, mountain biking in summer or snow play in winter. Boating and fishing on Lake Buffalo year round. Good food from local hotels, restaurants and smaller stores, and don't forget the local bakeries for their tasty products....! Overall come and try you'll be pleasantly surprised by the country town.
The location was excellent - close to the main road through Myrtleford but far away enough that no traffic noise filtered through. The house was very conveniently located near the main shopping and restaurant strip.
The house was very clean, and had all the amenities that we needed. We did not cook, but enjoyed the tea and Quadratini biscuits!
The whole house air-conditioning was a bonus on the cold nights (so much so that we are looking at installing a similar system as well).
Our ensuite hotel room exceeded expectations when compared to similar accommodation. Room cleanliness could not be faulted, with the bathroom being newly renovated with a spacious and high-pressured warm shower. Inclusions such as an array of toiletries, various teas and bottled water in the room made us feel like an effort had been made to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. We came in looking for basic accommodation for the snow, however we left with our expectations exceeded.
Panoramia is an outstanding property. With family in the area we have found our accommodation choice whenever we visit. The villa is large with a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed and great facilities. A large bathroom has a great shower and plenty of room with large fluffy towels. 180 degree views across Myrtleford and the Ovens Valley make morning coffee or afternoon tipples on the balcony very pleasant. Finally, parking at the door makes packing/unpacking simple.
Such a lovely tranquil setting about 5kms out of Myrtleford. Woke to the sound of cattle lowing and the sights of rolling hills, amazing views. A very comfortable room - three upstairs and one downstairs with private facilities and shared kitchen/eating space. nice to chat to other visitors and the generous breakfast provisions were a nice bonus, especially eaten in the communal dining room with gorgeous views and morning sunshine.
We really liked this two bedroom apartment. It is modern, clean and well furnished. The electric heater in the lounge kept the entire apartment nice and warm. The apartment is centrally located within walking distance to pubs and cafes in town. Myrtleford is a lovely town and we will definitely be coming back to 16 King Street again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We have stayed at Motel on Alpine several times now. It's good value for money, the manager was very friendly and it's very convenient to the Mosaic trail and the rail trail. The facilities (pool and picnic areas) are great but it was too cold to use them this time. Our room was partially renovated and the hot water was plentiful and quick.
We stayed in "Myrtleford Cottage" which is listed on the main road into Myrtleford from the west. The house was spacious, open plan for kitchen, dining & lounge areas. Bed was very comfortable.
House adjacent to a park with a playground, walking path which follows the Ovens River. Property only 500 metres from town centre.
Pleasant, friendly welcome on arrival. Clean, comfortable, quiet room at rear of property (Room 15). Good heating. Secure lockup storage for bicycles provided. On edge of Myrtleford, easy distance to main shops. Pleasant walking nearby and rail trail runs past the front entrance.
A great place to stay if you want to explore Mount Buffalo and Bright. The room was very clean and spacious for the four of us who travelled together. The owner was super nice and friendly as well. I would recommend it to anyone whose looking for accommodation in Myrtleford.
I liked everything about the hotel. The room is very clean, there is a microwave, a kettle and a toaster. The hotel area is also excellent, there is a swimming pool and an area for barbecue or dinner. The staff was very friendly.
Pleasant well equipped bungalow behind a house in Myrtleford with easy bike or car access. Good supply of kitchen utensils. nespresso coffee machine. Good sized bedrooms, comfy beds. 10-15 mins walk to the pub.
We stayed overnight in one of the family cabins. Accomodation was well appointed and very clean. Good parking. Friendly and helpful owners. Great location with easy access to Myrtleford town for all our needs.
The house was beautiful inside and everything was clean and tidy. Access was easy and the location was fantastic. The beds were comfortable and furniture felt like a very stylish home.
incredibly clean and comfortable. The pod house has everything we needed for a three day stay. Stunning views, walking distance to town, quiet location - perfect in every way.
Comfortable older style motel close to the shops in Myrtleford. Some refurbishments including electric blinds and renovated bathroom Plenty of space in our room.
