Hougoumont Hotel Fremantle is a unique, boutique hotel, purpose-built using innovative sea container construction. Fremantle Prison is a 10-minute walk away and Fremantle Markets is a 5-minute walk.

We arrived after a long flight much earlier than the check in time and the staff were so kind and understanding and happily checked us in after the room was cleaned. It’s in a great spot near many cute cafes. Room was clean and well appointed and exactly what we needed. Was very happy with our choice.

Our accommodation in North Fremantle was about a 20min walk...

Our accommodation in North Fremantle was about a 20min walk to the centre of Fremantle. If mobility is an issue or you don't have a car and you're looking to stay right in the city Centre I recommend looking for something closer by. It was a nice quieter part of town which was a bonus for us. There wasn't any supermarkets within walking distance though so helps if you have a car. It was really easy to get a bus into the centre of Perth though.
