This newly renovated hotel is a gem - primarily because the staff are first class! Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and always eager to assist. We had a minor issue with our fridge, and the staff went above and beyond, offering us an upgrade and bending over backwards to assist. The breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was first-rate. Loved the onesie and slippers in the room, and the 9th-floor suite was stunning. Can’t recommend this hotel enough. Will definitely be back!

The roof top area is the best in Perth. An breakfast English buffet style breakfast on the roof top at a fixed price might go down well. The a la carte menus are awesome but a bit daunting.

We booked 3 rooms for a girls night away to the ballet. The location was perfect, close to His Majesty's Theatre and dinner booking. The rooms were large, the pool was warm and the staff were very welcoming. One of the hotel front staff were even kind enough to take some group photos before we went out - which was such a kind touch.

FAQs about hotels in Perth

Serene as the Swan

Sun-drenched and laid-back, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.

The city center has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.

Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.

The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialties such as western rock lobster and chili mussels. There are also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

Almost all of my trips have been to Perth for work, so the time spent there has been limited, and I have tried to make use of any down time to explore a little of the city. I have to say - I love Perth! It has a temperate climate most of the year, the central city is flat enough and compact enough to be able to walk a lot of it, and it has a good network of busses and trains for getting around. Being in an isolated part of Australia, it is self-sufficient: you don't have to look hard to find pretty much anything if you are visiting. There are a lot of eating places in easy walking distance in the central city. A high ratio of them cater for Asian food, which is a change I have noticed since my last visit 6 years ago, but I guess that may reflect a changing demographic. With a bit of looking, I was able to find restaurants not too far away to suit my tastes. The city has a slightly laid back vibe which appeals to me, and I would say that if I ever had to choose somewhere to relocate to, Perth would be high on my list.

Lovely, clean city.

Lovely, clean city. Friendly people, lots of lovely places to eat and drink. Easy to get around. Public transport free or cheap. Recommend the boat trip to Rottnest island, stunning scenery. The food at the bakery is excellent but don’t hang around or the birds will have the food out of your hands. Kings park is a must, enjoy a drink and take in the view.

In the CBD there is amazing architecture with mix of historic buildings and modern designs, lots of sculptures and statues make it interesting to walk around. The botanical gardens/Kings park are nearby along with the Swan river, and is another excellent walk to do. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and supermarkets nearby. Walking is easy with shared bike/walking paths and the roads aren't to hectic for driving. Recommend walking around the Kings park and botanical gardens.

Perth is a very clean, safe and walkable city to visit.

Perth is a very clean, safe and walkable city to visit. Public transport to the outer suburbs is cheap, and the walk on walk off Cat bus service is free within the CBD area. Numerous sites accessible via the CAT bus include Kings Park, the Bell Tower, Elizabeth Quay, the Perth Mint, Art Art Gallery and Museum. Take a short Ferry ride from Elizabeth Quay across the Swan River to South Perth, then a short walk to the Perth Zoo. So much to see and do within a short walk or bus ride of each other.

Coming from a country regional area, Perth city has so much to offer with unlimited places to see and experience. Shopping centres unlimited. Religious services and churches. Entertainment unlimited, Eateries galore, that also includes a huge variety of cuisines and many eateries cater for those with specific dietary needs. Food at Joondalup resort’s Alcove restaurant was chef quality foods that were top standard and highly recommended! Great staff service, very attentive and efficient. Two Fat Indians. Delicious, authentic food! Cafe food: Paper Avenue, Luca Cafe, great food and service by staff. Google Maps was our efficient navigation method around Perth. Places to visit for kids: Bounce, sci-tec, Perth Zoo, Kings Park, botanical gardens and many more kid friendly places depending on your time and budget.

Boutique hotel with only 74 rooms located in a good location & easily accessible from the Perth station. Very basic amenities in the room & bathroom. Restaurant food & wine was good & exceptional! Had two dinners in house but the restaurant is not located within the premises but round the corner from the hotel proper.

Located in good proximity to Elizabeth key, central Perth and Kings Park. For a city hotel the room was exceptionally quiet and allowed us to relax without interruption. Although we were not travelling for work, the room was well set up with a suitable work station.
