This newly renovated hotel is a gem - primarily because the staff are first class! Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and always eager to assist. We had a minor issue with our fridge, and the staff went above and beyond, offering us an upgrade and bending over backwards to assist. The breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was first-rate. Loved the onesie and slippers in the room, and the 9th-floor suite was stunning. Can’t recommend this hotel enough. Will definitely be back!

The staff could not have been more consistently friendly and helpful, the hotel location in Central Perth was perfect, the guest rooms very comfortable, and the hotel decor and ambience absolutely lovely. Breakfast buffet was very plentiful each morning.

Serene as the Swan

Sun-drenched and laid-back, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.

The city center has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.

Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.

The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialties such as western rock lobster and chili mussels. There are also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

We loved King’s Park, the views and the beautiful wildflower...

We loved King’s Park, the views and the beautiful wildflower displays featuring WA’s unusual plants. Great historical facts displayed too. Freemantle was easily reached from Perth and worth a day trip or longer. Guildford was a little historical treasure for its antiques and cute, early settlement buildings. We enjoyed all the free CAT buses to explore Perth-loved the distinctive big cat on those buses! ECU university complex in the city was impressive.

Perth is a beautiful city with awesome facilities easy...

Perth is a beautiful city with awesome facilities easy access for walking and bike riding. Beautiful parks. Lots to do. We throughly enjoyed Kings park, whale watching, Rotnest island, Fremantle and bridge climb and zip line. Perth is easy to get around and has great public transport. We stayed 5 days and didn’t need a hire car.

If you love retail therapy, Westfield Carousel is a must visit. It’s one of Perth’s largest shopping centres, packed with fashion, dining options, a cinema complex, and a lively food court. You’ll also find excellent shopping in the Perth CBD, from boutique stores to major brands, plus laneway cafés and street art. A short drive takes you to two of Perth’s most iconic beaches: Cottesloe Beach famous for its turquoise water and relaxed vibe Scarborough Beach perfect for swimming, surfing, and beachfront dining. Both offer stunning sunsets over the Indian Ocean.

We have visited Perth many times and seen most of the sights on several occasions. However, this time we took a boat trip from Elizabeth Quat to Freemantle, whereas normally we would go by train. Good choice.

Beautiful city. Great public transport. Love Kings Park. Perth Mint is worth the free bus ride and entry fee. Cruise to Fremantle is good but take the one way to spendbtime there and return later in the day.

We loved this hotel. It was surprisingly different from the usual brown and white standard hotels and a really lovely place to stay. The staff were excellent, the breakfast was very satisfying and our room was large, well appointed, and very comfortable with a big bathroom and a nice corner spa. The location was great with the excellent Juniper and Bay restaurant only 5 minutes walk away. Also an easy 30 minute walk by the river to the delightful Perth zoo. We really enjoyed staying here.

Pretty decent hotel for business travel. Just a short walk away from a stretch of bars and pubs (behind the hotel) so unlike some of the business hotels in Perth its actually a decent location. Room was a good size, and whilst its quite basic, had everything for the business traveler

Location is beautiful, close to many things especially cafes. Amazing for walks, hotel paid parking is worth the extra $30, and great rooms. Lots of good reasons to stay at East Perth Suites and I think it was worth the money.
