I do travel a lot for my work and the first thing I look for when travelling is the bed, I was not disappointed, mattress soft but firm and the bedsheets too were to my liking. Then the room was clean, like I could see that the cleaner had a good standard. The shower was good, hot water running straight. That are the 3 things you need the most in an hotel and that ws achieved. Then I had a little sofa to relax, and a table to sit. The Wi-Fi was great too.

We always stay here when coming through Rockhampton usually only overnight. Rooms are brilliant, well appointed and very close to all fast foods or pub. The pub actually has really good meals. The bed this time around was one of the most comfortable sleeps that we have had. Cannot fault this place. LOVE IT.

Rocky is the beef capital of Australia and is a fine rural city with a great history, also on the Capricorn, the summer equator, the allegedly the lowest where estuarine Crocs live, but don't trust me talk to the locals.
Yeppoon is just on the coast with great hotels and beaches, The Kepple Islands and Byfield National Park is not too far north, great for hikers and 4WD'ers The beach north of Yeppoon is a great 4WD as well.
I could spend a couple of weeks here easily

We especially enjoyed our drive to Emu Park and Yeppoon. Lovely drive there and lots to look at. We had lunch there one day.
Spent another day in Rockhampton visiting local parks and shopping centre. It was very hot outside so we were glad to relax at the shops after the gardens.

A lot of interesting places to visit.
A lot of interesting places to visit. We went to the Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Also the Allen street war museum where staff were most helpful and display was interesting and educational.
We also enjoyed the riverwalk and heritage buildings.
Lunch at the Riverfront Restaurant was a memorable experience.

I used Cosmopolitan as a way stop on my way to a destination further North and for a stop after a long day of road travel, I found this establishment great for my needs. Right next door was a fuel station, together with a Restaurant across the road from the fuel station. The location was suitable as it was on the edge of Rockhampton and was accessible travelling both to and from my intended destination. Rooms were clean and spacious for the single traveller.
The room was spacious, and a decent size bathroom. Nice little table and chairs on the verandah. Special mention regarding Jacob in the bar/bistro. He was exceptional, and a credit to the place. It is also in a very peaceful part of town, on the north side of Rockhampton, with supermarket and a hotel very close.
Pet friendly accommodation, I have stayed there on four previous occasions and am always met with the same high standard of accommodation and attentiveness from the staff. Highly recommend Park Avenue for all travellers going through Rockhampton..
Wonderful old hotel...very beautiful.
Great location on the river. (A popular place for people to walk and meet for coffee...there's an impressive new art gallery a few doors away)
The hotel was beautiful, absolutely obsessed with the room.
Best sleep in a long time on that mattress 🙌
First time in Rockhampton and this is now my go-to for accommodation.
