Our stay was well beyond my expectations. Initially I was a little worried, as it was a little outside of my price range. I liked the idea that it was nonprofit and sustainable and I thought the proximity of the animals would be fun for my daughter. The staff was amazing...extremely helpful and kind and always went the extra mile to help us to feel welcome. This never happens, but the view was even better than what's listed on the site. We had a room facing the opera house and it was stunning...we also had an adorable koala outside our room constantly. Just like in the picture. Really. There were several extras that I hadn't anticipated...a morning and evening zoo walk and a tour of a little area made available only to guests. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and you could tell the zoo was working more as an animal sanctuary. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone. It's also extremely accessible, so my daughter and I were able to use it as a home base for exploring other parts of the city. We often came back with tons of sand between our toes and still had time to enjoy the view and the animals.

Sydney, Sydney Sydney...what a place.

Sydney, Sydney Sydney...what a place. I have visited and lived here - visiting is always great - living not so much. A beautiful place if you an afford the nicer suburbs, great if you are an outdoors and nature lover! I have enjoyed many stunning walks in Syd. Wonderful food and coffee, and some cool attractions. I recommend taking the Ferry to Manly and Swimming in Cabbage Tree Cove of a Summer - Then enjoying Hot Chippies and a Gelato. It is however very expensive..and sometimes too crowded. Parking is a nightmare as is driving in general - Beware of Tolls. More and More druggos and Homeless People ( Housing Crisis is an issue ). People are either super lovely or really Rude. Overall a great city - the more money you have the better your stay will be.

Even though the weather was a little on the dreary and damp side, we still thoroughly enjoyed exploring and of course the Split Enz concert topped it off. It was so easy to get from Syd Domestic terminal, just one quick train ride and a quick light rail ride and we had arrived.

I was born in Sydney but live on the NSW South Coast so I don’t get up to the city very much. Travelling to Sydney by car is now so much better thanks to the toll roads and tunnels. It’s always nice to go back and there is so much to do. We went to the Art Gallery which is nearby.

I stayed for 6 nights.

I stayed for 6 nights. I didn't want' to rush my visit and got to have a great overall experience. I did a Opera House tour (excellent) and used the ferries a lot. The public transport system is superb - ferries, light rail (trams) buses and trains. You can tap on/off at terminals at station platforms with your credit or debit card, so need to need to purchase an Opal card as such. Circular Quay (including Opera House) provides all forms of public transport. I highly recommend Watsons Bay (by ferry) and to undertake the short walk in the national park. Kirribilli at Milson's Point is also brilliant (take the train to Milson's Point train statin and walk down side streets to the Marina's cafe and great homes and architecture. At Milson's Point, you can climb the stairs to walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, to Circular Quay and The Rocks. And of course, "The Rocks", from Circular Quay. The Maritime Museum on Kings St Wharf (Darling Harbour) is really worth the inexpensive ticket for retired navy ships (a destroyer, patrol boat and submarine) and old world sailing ships and enjoy the excellent restaurant/cafe onsite (very reasonably priced menu). Bondi Beach can be reached by bus at Watson's Bay (next to ferry location). Take the light rail to Haymarket and China Town. Haymarket: lower level to Paddy's Market for food stalls and markets.

I had been travelling all day, extreme thunderstorms just wanted to get into accommodation and shower relax before going on a tour of the rocks that evening. I couldn’t get into room had to knock the neighbours for help..I didn’t have WiFi so he set up so I could contact office! They stated that the number they had given to me was changed in afternoon, but as I didn’t have WiFi I hadn’t seen .. very stressful.Room smelt on sweat and damp ! Shower and toilet poor! I like that the Shower is well bunded. I cannot stand hotels that have showers that spread water all over the bathroom, the beds were comfortable and pillows too. The light from the AC controll annoyed my brother. Maybe move them to the hallway to face away from the beds? It was a good location to everything within walking, the Rockals, circular Quay, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour. It's right next to Wynyard Station, Wynyard Bus Terminals and 1 block from Bridge Station Light Rail.
