Amazing retreat - the view of the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Skyline is stunning. The rooms are beautiful and all the nature around makes it very special. The complementary sanctuary tour was great and our guide answered all the questions- definitely loves the animals & her job! :) During my stay the Zoo opened after dark and the entry was complementary for retreat guest. The restaurant “Me-Gal” serves tasty food and the atmosphere, specially for sunset, is lovely.

Service was beyond amazing. The breakfast that was included was brimming with options. Everything was clean and the fact that it is just a few steps away from the nearest train and metro station is the very cherry on the top of the sundae.

Delightful boutique hotel with extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff (shout out to Gabe!). Sydney always delivers!

Sydney always delivers! It's a fantastic city, perfect for a quick trip or a longer stay. The harbour is wonderful, and the sights of the bridge and the Opera House are always stirring. On this occasion I used all forms of public transport (train from the airport almost to the door of my hotel, tram to and from Circular Quay, ferry to Birchgrove, bus from Birchgrove back to the city , and train back to the airport), and found the system absurdly easy to use and very convenient.

Sydney ranks among the world’s most inviting cities, its vibrant mix of iconic landmarks, beachside charm and multicultural dining scenes drawing visitors from every continent. Recent upgrades to the public‑transport network have turned getting around the harbour a delight rather than a chore, with the re‑introduced light‑rail weaving sleek, electric trams through bustling suburbs, the CBD and the scenic waterfront, offering frequent, low‑emission rides that connect tourists to everything from the Opera House to the trendy eateries of Newtown. At the same time, the city’s concerted clean‑up campaign—featuring enhanced street‑lighting, increased foot‑patrols and a vigorous graffiti‑removal program—has gradually erased the untidy, unsafe vibe that lingered in some precincts just a few years ago. The result is a safer, more polished urban landscape where locals and travelers alike can stroll through vibrant markets, parklands and waterfront promenades with confidence, making Sydney not only a top‑tier destination but also a model of how thoughtful infrastructure and community‑focused revitalisation can transform a metropolis.

We had 4 days and 3 nights. We at Riced in Sydney at 8:30am. Easy trip on the train to the city. Hyde park Inn was across the road from the station. We went to high tea at Strangers Corridor, Parliament House. Was excellent. Dinner at the Edinburgh hotel also great. Did the Bondi to Coogee walk. Beautiful. Lunch at the Coogee hotel on the rooftop. Wrestling at Qudos Arena. Thoroughly entertained. The Rocks Market, lunch at the new fish market. Another roof top bar. A visit to the Queen Victoria building and the Dr Seuss store a must. A busy but brilliant holiday. We got around by public transport. Tap on and off with a credit card. Too easy.

Had a great weekend away here being only a corner away from Chinatown. Location was fantastic and only moments walk from main CBD on a top of that, staff were helpful, welcoming and friendly. Most hotels we’ve stayed at in SYD, the rooms have been out dated however here, was modern, clean and extremely comfortable. Would come back again and thank you for having us!

The location was really great. Near Chinatown and about a 40 min walk to the CBD which we did a few times as there are many places to visit on the way. Check-in and check-out was seamless. Didnt need to have other interactions with staff outside of that as we had no issues (unlike our other hotels)!
