Not much as room move ruined our stay, we were looking forward to waking up and enjoying the sea view and sound, this didn't happen.

The casino is a great place to have a flutter and some fun , all levels are made to feel welcome , Townsville itself is lacking in financial investment , the people were all friendly, felt safe despite the bad crime figures but also travel sensibly

I was amazed at the size of the buildings and the apparent quietness everywhere. The historical information on the plaques within the parks was very interesting. Travelling to Magnetic Island was easy and efficient too

Although it was hot and humid for our stay we still got out and walked the city. Was great to come back and relax around and in the pool at Rambutan. Ferry over to Magnetic Island for the day and heaps to do over there. Hire a scooter from Road Runner Scooter Hire and get around the island easily

We had previously lived in Townsville and were surprised by the expansion of the suburbs. The roads are great and gave been widened and very easy to get around. Lots of eateries close by and a short walk over the river to the city.

Beautiful location, lots to do.
Beautiful location, lots to do. I came with my husband but it would also be a great destination for families. Went to Lux Noir Dinner Theatre and it was amazing! Highly recommend going if you are visiting. Magnetic Island is beautiful but hire a car to get around! Casino was also fun!

Townsville is a very different large town.
Townsville is a very different large town. It is very independent being so far away in distance form the State's capital being Brisbane. It is very active given it is a garison city. There seems to be a stronger focus on expanding food outlets and cuisine. A car is definately needed to get around.

Fabulous location on the Strand opposite beach, close to hotels, restaurants Cafes, takeaway food outlets and 5 minutes walk from Coles, walk to public bus stop, 5 minutes by bus to ferry terminal for Magnetic Island. Older building but tastefully renovated, fully self contained, good size refrigerator (but they could update the electric hotplates), Pool too. Would go again..
The Hotel was very central to our needs and not far from the Magnetic Island ferry. It was a pity I guess by economics that there was no eating facility on the premises. The location allowed myself to review my early work days in Flinders Street finding many of the old buildings still maintained including a Bank where I first worked in 1964 just across the road.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Townsville yet - I am a frequent work traveller and it's always a bonus when I find somewhere new that is worth the change to my usual acccommodation.
That view! Best in Townsville by far. I will stay here again just to wake up to that view. Also great location on The Strand with lots of restaurants and bars nearby.
