What a great (& affordable!) option near Aruba’s best beaches. We stayed here a week, had a wonderful time, and plan to stay here again.
The location is an 8-minute drive to Eagle and Palm Beaches, or a 15-minute drive to Arashi Beach farther north (rental car essential)… Aruba is so easy to drive and navigate. And if you prefer to avoid the sand, the charming pool is a great option. Our 7-year old loved it, though most of the time we were the only ones using it.
The outdoor dining area is lovely, with plenty of tables and benches, though some of the wood chairs aren’t very comfortable; others have cushions. The cafe is great, with a basic menu and plenty of caffeinated options. Service isn’t rushed so feel free to linger.
Onsite parking is convenient and beach towels are provided and changed on cleaning days (not daily; and by the way the cleaning lady is just delightful).
The room interiors are clean though basic. Our room (#8) had two queen beds, firm and very comfortable. There wasn’t too much sunlight - just a small kitchen window and a medium-sized window facing the pool area. We used the air conditioning only half the time as the place was naturally cool. The bathroom was modern and clean. Having a stove was essential, as it allowed us to prepare breakfast before leaving and cook dinner at the end of the day; as you probably know, food in Aruba is not cheap.
And the hotel is very peaceful. There was one clueless idiot who felt it was necessary to slam some doors at 3am one night - hopefully he never comes back. Otherwise it was quiet.
It was also helps to manage expectations. RH isn’t rustic but modern, basic by many standards but likely upscale by many island standards at this price. If you are looking for “luxury”, you’ll need to spend quadruple the amount (or easily more at some of the high end $$$ hotels & villas).
There is also a barbecue area out back that needs to be reserved at the front desk but we didn’t use it this time around.
This Aruba hotel features rooms with microwaves and refrigerators. The hotel is one miles from the Queen Beatrix International Airport and offers an outdoor pool and free WiFi in all areas.

Condo was spacious & equipped so that you can cook food if you want. Great deck with furniture to utilize. Great little private (for guests only) deck with chairs, kayak, on the water looking at the Bay & Marina. Lots of parking. Great place to eat at the Marina called The Fish House. The owner was amazingly fast at responding to any question I had by text.
Welcome to the colorful and serene location of Mammaloe. This Bed & Breakfast is located in Santa Cruz, only 3.1 mi from Reina Beatrix International Airport.

Nice air conditioned area to cool off in and very central to town, not far to get into the hustle and bustle or to the beach

Oranjestad has a few nice areas for visitors with restaurants, bars and shopping. The water is spectacular! It's easy to get around by taxi or bus. Aruba is very breezy and the sun is hot - so lots of high quality sunscreen is a necessity along with a secure hat. We enjoyed happy hour and small plates at Cuba's Cookin' in the Renaissance Marketplace - try the mojitos!

Most visitors are from the cruise ships, and spend a day here. We enjoyed & days of which 3 days were snorkeling on 3 different beaches (more and we would have been roasted by the sun). The town, and especially the museum is very interesting - very Dutch.
We didn't do much shopping, there didn't seem much (apart for Dutch food in the supermarket) that we couldn't have bought anywhere. Lots of kitchy souvenirs near the cruise terminal. If you like fresh fish, it is well worth taking the bus (or driving) to the "fish market" at Spanish Cove. It is just a couple of sheds on the waterfront where the fish are landed and sold by local small-scale fishermen, who will also clean and fillet for you.

I enjoyed staying right in Oranjestad because I had many options for dining out in the evening. I rented a car so I was able to go to either side of the island pretty easily from there. The Arubus station is right there so I think it would be fairly easy to take that up to Eagle beach if one didn't want to rent a car. I was in town for part of Carnival so it was fun to watch that also.
My photos are of Eagle Beach, Tres Trapi, and Baby Beach. Oranjestad restaurants: Pastechi House, Lucy's - mahi sandwich, West Deck - fish/shrimp, and Dutch Pancake House - Dutch Pancake.

The island is very easy to navigate by auto. Many choices for food and shopping at the super market to grill out is a good way to save money for nights you don't desire to eat out. Sunsets are beautiful most every evening. Go to Boca Catalina snorkeling to see the Sea Turtles. If you want to feel young and vibrant go to Moomba Beach Club on Sunday evening.

careful with the taxi drivers - they dont pay attention to get you to the right destination!
also - very disappointed in Zara at the renaissance shops - its a cruise port and hotel and they wouldn't allow you in with a small suitcase - shame on them
did have a very nice dinner at wilamena - highly recommend!
The hotel was very nice, at a convenient location. The staff was amazing, special complements to Hannah & José. They were incredibly helpful with all our requests, helped us rent a car,
told us about places to visit, etc. We got a free upgrade of the room. This was so generous of you, guys!
This hotel has very good vibes. We felt super comfortable there. We recommend it wholeheartedly.
Thank you very much for the hospitality!!
We will come back.

Even though it was a 25-minute-walk from the town centre, I was so happy to have booked here and not in one of the big hotels. I loved the friendly and family-like atmosphere. Easy to meet other guests and yet have your own private area.
And the Surfside Beach was in easy walking distance with lovely beach clubs for chilling at sunset in a relaxed atmosphere instead of a crowdwd party mile.
Teska was extremely helpful and accommodating. On my arrival, I was impressed how big the room actually was for the price and glad I was allowed to check in early. It is a great and safe place to stay in Aruba - I genuinely do not think you need to spend a fortune to stay at a more expensive hotel if you plan to be out and about. Comfortable bed was a key for me. Thanks and good luck!
-Close to the bus terminal in Oranjestad (like 8 minutes walking) and to a small beach next to the airport (Surfside beach, 20 min walking)
-Chinese supermarket like two blocks away
-Overall it’s a nice house, more like a shared apartment than a hostel; I was on the first floor where the shared rooms are
The hotel is amazing. Great location (10 mins walking distance) from Oranjestad (City center). Also very close to Queen Beatrix Airport (5mins by car).
Staff is super friendly and always willing to assist. Breakfast was very complete and delicious.
We liked the staff
We liked the location of the hotel relative to the downtown area
We liked the service in general
We liked the open conversation area on the second floor (big balcony with seats)
We liked the shower room in the bathroom
We were very well treated by Stanley and Samuel, and were surprised by how cute the building was. Very recommended for those who want to have an authentic experience in Oranjestad!
Amazing Experience, access to the private island, boat pickup from inside the hotel every 15 minutes, nice breakfast and super nice staff. Out of this world experience
