Baku is a good & clean city. Weather is pleasant neither too hot nor too sunny. Staying near the beach is the wisest decision for enjoyable trip. Food is just ok though. An excellent place to visit , well laid out , clean and lots of long walks on the promenade, the city and the architecture is superb. Food was excellent and overall very affordable. All the sights in the old town were very close.
All the sights in the old town were very close. We went up to the Tower of Flames on foot, so we could admire it for a long time. The seaside promenade was just a few minutes walk away, which was an unmissable program both day and night. You could walk through the old town to the metro station. I am a Formula 1 fan. Baku is a great place to visit; however, the food is quite expensive. For instance, I spent 28 Manat on dinner in one day, which was not ideal. Additionally, be cautious of taxi scams. Baku is amazing city and it do have lots of attractions to see. specially old city, modern city. Baku promenaded and Highland park is some relaxing place for evening. Nizami street is a best place to spend time but expensive.
