breakfast is ok. room is ok except we have to bring tea and coffee makers from the counter to our rooms as they are not readily provided in the rooms and it took us a almost 4-500 m to reach our rooms
Experience the peace and quiet of the Belgian countryside at the Auberge Grill Le Freyr. Enjoy excellent local food at this family-run hotel in the valley of the Haute Meuse.

We had a wonderful stay at Côté Sax in September. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and had a wonderful view of the Meuse, and the breakfast was one of the most generous and tasty breakfasts we had in Belgium. Would absolutely stay here again.
At the water's edge, warmthy Dinant - Small price offers accommodations in Dinant, 31 miles from Barvaux. Free Wifi is available throughout the property and Anseremme Train Station is 2.5 miles away.
My husband and I spent one night in Dinant. We loved it, and would happily return to the area to hike and bike. The town is fairly touristic, but we found a little section south of the main drag which was charming and away from the crowds. The town's gorgeousness makes it absolutely worth visiting, in spite of the crowds. And it seemed that those crowds were mostly Belgian, and weekenders, so I wouldn't be put off of Dinant.

Dinant is a little gem, beautiful location and scenary.
Dinant is a little gem, beautiful location and scenary. You have river, high cliffs, very interesting cathedral and the fortress. One can go for river cruises, bike rides, hiking on the hills, etc.
Only downside is that most of the food is pizza, pasta, kebab and fries. Couldn't find any authentic Belgian food.

Lots of things to do in Dinant.
Lots of things to do in Dinant. We used the cycle paths along the river as well as the old railway up to the monastery. There were lots of people using canoes and picnicking along the river too. The town had lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. Parking in he town could be a bit difficult, but generally OK.

We were in Dinant for Maison Leffe which was interesting, but not a brewery visit, just an interactive museum, we had drinks on the lawn at the rear of the building which was lovely.
The following morning we visited the citadel which gives great views over the town and you learn the history of Dinant, which is very interesting.

Beautiful location for a hotel, close to Dinant at a beautiful, quiet location in nature. Large room for 3 persons, the restaurant in the hotel was perfect, the breakfast was good and complete. Sufficient car parking spaces at the hotel. The reception and staff were very friendly and helpful (our French was limited). We had a good swim in the pool and relaxed in the jacuzzi. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back here.
The location is in the center of Dinant, and from our window we could see citadel and the Sax museum. The bed was comfortable, the heater worked well, Wi-Fi was stable and fast, there were a fridge and a kettle in the room. The self check-in and check-out went smoothly, we received all the necessary information. Special thanks for the list of nearby cafes which serve breakfast - that list was very helpful! We enjoyed our stay there.
A lovely hotel in Dinant, with great location and excellent value. Really enjoyed our short stay, it felt relaxed, welcoming, very well maintained and had good facilities. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and well maintained with comfortable beds. We had parking onsite. We have stayed at this hotel before and would definitely stay at this hotel again on our next visit.
