We had a wonderful stay in the Space Room at Inthemia. The theme is very original and beautifully done — it really feels like stepping into another world. The room was spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped. The atmosphere is calm and unique, perfect for a special and memorable stay. The host was welcoming and attentive, and everything was well organized. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something different from a standard hotel!

The hotel was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The couple running it were extremely friendly and welcoming. The bubbles and appetizer platter upon arrival were a nice touch and the breakfast spread was wonderful. Highly recommend!

what a nice city, very clean. lots of opportunities to visit museum, restaurant. We also made a tour with city guide that was very pleasant. we discovered the beautiful cathedral. Also the region is very nice to discover by bicycle. But prepare to be "out in the blue", not many shops, restaurants in the neighborhood.

Very easy to walk around this small city, many pedestrians...

Very easy to walk around this small city, many pedestrians only areas and really good road surfaces - all very smooth and level, great for wheelechairs. Lots of interesting buildings including the Cathedral and Belfry. A number of museums including theBeaux Arts and the Military museum (which was excellent), and the museum of Folklore was different! Lovely cafes, bars and restaurants though pricey in the main square cheaper places were available further out. A must is to see the surprisingly amusing 20 min history film in the Tourist office, Tournais is very, very old and has a very chequered history with multiple owners. We were near the canalised river where there is a rising road bridge and lots of time was spent watching the enormous barges going along to Rotterdam.

I’d never heard of the place but there is loads to do here.

I’d never heard of the place but there is loads to do here. The town of the five bells has lots of history and is a great place to see art. There is also a medieval bridge. This is only open for tours on specific days. It looked like there were lots of lovely restaurants and a nice town square. The bakery patisserie Vivienne is well worth a visit. It is so tasty and beautiful both outside and inside. The salt and pepper baguette is amazing.

The city of Tournai is beautiful!

The city of Tournai is beautiful! It has that old world charm that we were looking for. There are also some interesting sights and museums. We were very impressed with the fine arts museum and with the natural history museum. We had wonderful meals at several restaurants on or near the Grand Place. Tournai also had a small town vibe, and we felt very safe walking around our neighborhood at night. All in all, a perfect stay.

Tournai appeared to be quiet when we arrived but it really came to life in the evenings. We tried a couple of very good restaurants, one of which we had booked in advance, but many others were fully booked; an indication that they were also good. Several splendid bars with, of course, excellent Belgian beers. We had lunch at some of the restaurants in the main square, again very good but beware of the portion sizes, my wife and I should have shared a meal.

Great little town.

Great little town. Nice square and loads of shops/cafes/bars. Also a lot of small specialised/artisan shops. Easy to navigate with tall landsmarks. Great river walkways. It felt pretty safe to me.

Very handy for Tournai to visit and enjoy restaurant there, when not available at The Farm. We were very comfortable , the room and bed being very good. The breakfast had a variety of many foods available, including fried. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

On the way into the centre from the station, 50 metres after the bakery where the breakfast coupons are valid. Although it is on a main road, it was quiet. Lots of space. Fully kitted out kitchen. Huge bed.
