The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They answered all our questions and even took the time to explain things clearly, whether it was about the rooms or any requests we had. One receptionist in particular, a Filipino guy, really went the extra mile. We asked if it was possible to have the sofa bed set up, and he made sure it was done quickly and without any fuss. I also noticed how patient the staff were, both in person and over the phone. No matter how busy it got, they stayed friendly and helpful. It really made the place feel warm and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice surprise with lots of good options. And the room was super relaxing, very clean, and modern.

This place is amazing. I'm glad that devleopment seems to have been controlled somewhat and the natural beauty here is stunning. But, I was here on an 'off' season and it was still busy, IMO. I cannot imagine dealing with the crowds during busier times, and I'd avoid that if possible. That said, the international tourists and locals here were very friendly and respectful.

We went during the shoulder season in May and beat the crowd. We rented a car and luckily avoided some parking fees that don't take affect until mid may. The weather was great and although we didn't get the chance to see Moraine Lake, we got the chance to see Lake Louise. In Banff, the town is very charming and you can't help but to just wonder and eventually end up hiking the nearby trails. We went Horseback riding and got to see some great views and had the chance to dine and drink at the Fairmont Hotel which offers incredible views of the landscape. If you get the chance, sign up for the Alberta Tours "Eat the Castle"! It's a great way to try the food at the Fairmont Hotel and learn about the history of Banff, plus the food focuses on important food known to Alberta/Canada!

Banff is an amazing place to visit.
Banff is an amazing place to visit. Lots of great sight seeing. Beautiful town. Great restaurants..
Only negative for our trip was our hotel choice. It was clean, comfortable and decent location, however lacked services, specifically in the morning. Maybe a seasonal thing, not sure. Next time we will do some more research before booking. There’s lots of hotels in the area.

Banff is lovely but quite busy especially at weekends, not sure if I would like it so much in peak months like July and Aug. Lots to do and see within a short drive away. Banff trail ride was brilliant and a lovely way to see the scenery. The gondola was fantastic such great views!

We've been to Banff at least a dozen times! We just love everything about this little town nestled deep in the Rockies. There is always something to do and to see. Make sure you see the nearby Johnston Canyon as well!

I am not one for using the expression "bucket list"; however, having now been to Banff 9 times so far, I cannot think of a more exceptional place to visit. It is easily reachable from YYC and anyone and everyone should try to visit once in their lifetime. Plan 2 extra days to do nothing and, if you can, indulge in a stay at the Banff Springs Hotel or Chateau Lake Louise. Both are truly stunning properties in sensational settings.

The hotel was beautiful, our room was clean and we loved the style of the room. We walked 10 minutes to the heart of downtown Banff - a stroll that was nice because we did a lot of travelling in our car during our vacation.
The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in answering our questions and giving suggestions on where to eat, the bus route to Sulphur Mountain/Gondola. The complimentary bikes was a nice touch
We travelled USA/Canada for 5 weeks and Canalta Lodge was by far the best value for money. The room is spacious, with lots of floor space for our snowboarding gear. The hotel lobby has a great vibe, with s’mores daily, cosy fireplace, bar and board games. We used the hot tub outside each day after coming back from snowboarding which was awesome. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
The room was very clean and modern. Very quiet location, off the main road with a beautiful forested area across from the room. The picture is accurate. The hotel provides free bus passes so you can avoid parking challenges in downtown Banff.
Breakfast was excellent quality but expensive.
Room was extremely comfortable, good size and great bed. Lighting was rather limited, (similar to other hotels we have stayed in, in Canada.
